One photograph showed Herbert on one knee beneath an arbor decorated with greenery and white flowers. Beer crouched in front of him as he held an open ring box, capturing the moment before she accepted his proposal.

The photographs, taken by Mark Deleon, showed Beer wearing a white cardigan and coordinating lace skirt by With Jéan. Herbert wore a white long-sleeved shirt with black trousers. They have not announced a wedding date, venue or other ceremony plans.

Beer’s Mother Learned the News Over FaceTime

Beer’s mother, Tracie Beer, celebrated the engagement by sharing a screenshot from the FaceTime call in which her daughter and Herbert revealed the news. “All a mother wants is for her child to be happy,” she wrote, adding that she felt comforted knowing Herbert would “protect and love her forever.”

She described Herbert as the man of her daughter’s dreams and congratulated the couple, writing that some relationships are “meant to be.”

Their Romance Became Public During the 2025 NFL Season

Beer and Herbert first generated dating speculation in August 2025, when the quarterback was seen visiting one of her photo shoots. They were photographed walking together in Los Angeles later that month. The relationship became unmistakably public on October 5, when Beer attended the Chargers’ game against the Washington Commanders at SoFi Stadium. Herbert approached her on the sideline before the game, and the two shared a kiss.

Herbert also made his music-video debut in Beer’s May 2026 video for “lovergirl,” which showed the couple kissing and spending time together on a beach. The quarterback missed part of the Chargers’ voluntary offseason program while traveling with Beer on tour. Coach Jim Harbaugh publicly supported the decision, jokingly asking Herbert whether he needed a ride to the airport.

Beer Said Herbert Entered Her Life ‘at the Perfect Time’

During a June appearance on Jake Shane’s Therapuss podcast, Beer described the relationship as unusually mature and said Herbert entered her life “at the perfect time.” She recalled that their first date took place at her house because they were worried about being photographed in public.

Beer also said Herbert was the first person who could hold her attention so completely that she would not notice what was happening around them. Herbert offered his own public declaration on Beer’s 27th birthday in March.

Calling her his favorite person, he wrote, “I love you so much. You’ve changed my life forever.” Five days later, Beer celebrated Herbert’s 28th birthday by telling him, “I am so lucky to be yours,” and calling him her dream come true.

Experts Believe the Ring Could Be Worth Up to $1 Million

Jewelry specialists consulted by People estimated that the center stone could weigh between five and 10 carats. One expert identified it as a possible elongated cushion-cut diamond weighing approximately five or six carats, while another estimate placed it as high as 10.

Experts suggested that the ring could be worth approximately $500,000 to $640,000, with some estimates reaching $1 million. They also believed the diamond was likely mounted on a slim platinum or white-gold band in a minimalist solitaire setting.
