Matt Damon’s London premiere for The Odyssey became a rare family red carpet moment when he arrived with his wife, Luciana Damon, and all four of his daughters.
Entertainment Weekly reported that Damon became emotional after seeing Alexia, Isabella, Gia and Stella together at the premiere.
The actor described it as a “real dad teary moment” as he took in how grown up they looked while supporting one of the biggest roles of his career.
Damon Turned the Premiere Into a Family Night
The family attended the July 6 London premiere of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, where Damon stars as Odysseus. InStyle reported that Damon wore a gray three-piece suit with a pale blue shirt, while Luciana wore a black-and-gold Gabriela Hearst gown.
Their daughters, Alexia, Isabella, Gia and Stella posed with their parents at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square, turning the premiere into one of the family’s most visible public outings in years.

Damon told Entertainment Tonight that the sight of his daughters together on the carpet made him emotional.
He has also long spoken about Alexia, Luciana’s daughter from a previous relationship, as part of his family, and has credited becoming a stepfather with changing his life.
Damon first became a father in the mid-2000s.
The Film Took Him Away From Home
PEOPLE reported that Damon said his daughters had to “sacrifice a lot” while he worked on the film, even though they visited him during production.
He described the shoot as long and grueling, and said he was excited for his daughters to finally see the finished movie.
Damon also said his daughters are seasoned travelers and that the family planned to join parts of the international press tour when possible. After London, the promotional schedule was expected to include stops such as Mumbai, Beijing and Seoul.
The Odyssey Is a Major Nolan Release
Damon leads Nolan’s adaptation of Homer’s epic as Odysseus, the Greek king trying to return home after the Trojan War.
Universal’s U.K. site lists the film for release on July 17, 2026, with a cast that includes Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya and Charlize Theron.
Reuters reported that Damon called The Odyssey the most demanding film of his career, citing Nolan’s large-scale practical approach, real ships and international locations.
