Netflix’s biggest original series debut of 2026 belongs to a Harlan Coben thriller.
I Will Find You opened at No. 1 on Netflix’s English TV list with 24 million views for the week of June 15, according to Netflix Tudum. Netflix said the number marks the streamer’s biggest original series debut of 2026.
The limited series stars Sam Worthington, Britt Lower, and Milo Ventimiglia in an eight-episode mystery about a father who escapes prison after learning that the son he was convicted of killing may still be alive.
ComicBook.com also highlighted the show’s early streaming surge, reporting that the series quickly reached Netflix’s No. 1 spot after its release.
I Will Find You Opened at No. 1 on Netflix
Netflix reported that I Will Find You topped the English TV chart with 24 million views. The series premiered June 18, giving it four days of viewing in the June 15-21 tracking window.
The gap between the top two English-language TV titles was wide. Netflix said Outlast: The Jungle landed at No. 2 on the English TV list with 3.9 million views.
The debut gave Coben another No. 1 series inside his long-running Netflix partnership.
The Series Follows a Father Who Breaks Out of Prison
Netflix Tudum says I Will Find You follows David Burroughs, played by Worthington, a father wrongfully serving a life sentence for murdering his son.
David has maintained his innocence, but the story changes when his former sister-in-law Rachel Mills, played by Lower, visits him with evidence suggesting that his son may still be alive.
That discovery sends David out of prison and into a search for the truth. Netflix says the series was adapted by showrunner and creator Robert Hull from Coben’s 2023 novel of the same name.
The Cast Includes Sam Worthington, Britt Lower, and Milo Ventimiglia
Worthington leads the series as David. Lower plays Rachel, a former reporter and David’s ex-sister-in-law. Ventimiglia plays Hayden, Rachel’s ex-boyfriend and confidant.
Netflix lists Logan Browning, Erin Richards, Jonathan Tucker, Chi McBride, Madeleine Stowe, and Clancy Brown among the supporting cast.
Coben serves as an executive producer through Final Twist Productions, alongside Hull, Bryan Wynbrandt, Steven Lilien, and John Weber.
The Hit Extends Netflix’s Harlan Coben Run
I Will Find You continues Netflix’s run of Coben adaptations after shows including Fool Me Once, Missing You, Stay Close, The Stranger, Safe, The Innocent, Gone for Good, and Hold Tight.
Netflix Tudum said the partnership includes 13 successful adaptations and a forthcoming Myron Bolitar series.
ComicBook.com also pointed to the Myron Bolitar project as a major next step in the Coben-Netflix pipeline.
The Netflix Number Is the Cleanest Headline
Netflix’s own Top 10 report puts the show’s opening at 24 million views and identifies it as the biggest original Netflix series debut of 2026.
The series also placed far ahead of the week’s second-biggest English TV title, Outlast: The Jungle, which drew 3.9 million views.
All eight episodes of I Will Find You are now streaming on Netflix.
