Nipsey Hussle’s children have reportedly received their shares of the late rapper’s estate, closing another major step in a years-long probate process after his 2019 death.
TMZ reported that court documents show Hussle’s daughter, Emani, 17, and son, Kross, 9, have now been paid out in cash and other assets.
The outlet said the exact amount paid to each child was sealed, but both received 50% of the estate.
The Payout Follows a 2023 Estate Settlement
The latest update follows a settlement reported in 2023, when PEOPLE reported that Emani and Kross had been named the sole beneficiaries of Hussle’s estate. At the time, PEOPLE said the estate’s assets were worth more than $11 million.
Those assets included cash and non-cash holdings, including business interests tied to All Money Inc., Marathon Studios, The Marathon Touring, The Marathon Clothing Inc. and Hussle’s trademark portfolio.
PEOPLE reported in 2023 that Lauren London would receive Kross’ share on his behalf, while Hussle’s brother Samiel Asghedom and family would manage Emani’s share.
Lauren London Acknowledged Kross’ Share
TMZ reported that London, who shared Kross with Hussle and was his girlfriend at the time of his death, signed a document acknowledging receipt of money paid out for her son’s portion of the estate.
The outlet also noted that the estate has been run by Hussle’s brother, Blacc Sam. According to TMZ, the payout amounts were sealed, but both children received equal shares.
Hussle, born Ermias Asghedom, was fatally shot outside his Marathon Clothing store in South Los Angeles on March 31, 2019.
The Estate Included More Than Music Royalties
The court documents described by TMZ listed several estate assets beyond cash. They included a 2012 Chevy Suburban and interests in businesses connected to Hussle’s music, touring, clothing and trademarks.
Before his death, he was widely associated with entrepreneurship, ownership and community investment in South Los Angeles. The estate settlement also covers pieces of the business structure Hussle built around his music, name and Marathon identity.
The Children Were Named His Sole Beneficiaries
PEOPLE reported in 2023 that Emani and Kross were Hussle’s only beneficiaries and would each receive half of the estate’s assets.
Emani is Hussle’s daughter with Tanisha Foster. Kross is his son with London. PEOPLE later reported that both children have remained part of public tributes to their father, including Grammy and Hollywood Walk of Fame moments tied to his legacy.
Hussle’s Legacy Remains Publicly Visible
Hussle has continued to be honored publicly since his death. In 2020, he posthumously won Grammy Awards, and in 2022 he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on what would have been his 37th birthday.
His children have appeared at several of those moments with family members, keeping the legacy personal as well as public.
