Pax Jolie-Pitt appears to be keeping one connection to Brad Pitt’s side of the family, even as the larger Jolie-Pitt family divide remains public.
Page Six reported that Pax, 22, still maintains ties with Pitt’s extended family and has attended events connected to that side of the family.
The detail lands after several of Angelina Jolie and Pitt’s children have moved away from the Pitt surname in legal, school or professional contexts.
The report does not say Pax and Pitt have repaired their relationship. Page Six reported that Pax still has little direct contact with his father.
Pax Reportedly Still Sees Pitt’s Extended Family
Page Six reported that Pax recently joined Pitt relatives for an engagement celebration for his cousin Sydney Pitt.
The outlet said the family dinner included Pitt’s sister Julie Pitt Neal and niece Reagan Pitt. It also reported that Pax has remained close enough to that side of the family to attend Pitt-family events.
Pax is reportedly distant from Pitt himself, but Page Six says he has not cut off every connection to Pitt’s relatives.
Several Siblings Have Moved Away From the Pitt Name
People reported in May that Maddox Jolie-Pitt filed documents requesting a legal name change that would drop “Pitt” from his surname and make his full name Maddox Chivan Jolie if granted.
Days later, People reported that Zahara Jolie-Pitt also filed in California to remove “Pitt” from her last name. That filing dates back to April 28.
People noted that Shiloh was granted a legal name change in 2024 and now goes by Shiloh Jolie. The outlet also reported that Vivienne had been credited as Vivienne Jolie in the 2024 Playbill for The Outsiders, though it was not clear at the time whether that was a legal change.
Page Six separately reported that Knox used “Knox Jolie” on his high school diploma before his 18th birthday. The outlet said the diploma name appeared during his June graduation in Los Angeles.

Pax has also continued to appear publicly with Jolie. People reported that Jolie and Pax attended the Support+Feed Pickleball Invitational and Game Night in Los Angeles on June 6.
The event was hosted by Maggie Baird, the mother of Billie Eilish and Finneas, and included other celebrity guests. People reported that Jolie and Pax were photographed together at the charity event.
Jolie and Pitt Finalized Their Divorce After Years in Court
Jolie and Pitt reached a divorce settlement in December 2024, more than eight years after Jolie filed to end the marriage, according to People.
The former couple share six children: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Knox and Vivienne. Maddox, Pax, Zahara and Shiloh are adults, while twins Knox and Vivienne turn 18 in July.
Page Six reported that representatives for Jolie and Pitt did not comment on its latest report about Pax.
