Perrie Edwards is reportedly preparing to marry Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in Portugal, only days after she spoke openly about the breakup that once made her private life a global pop headline.
The Little Mix singer and the footballer are expected to marry in the Algarve with close family and friends present, according to The Sun. Edwards and Oxlade-Chamberlain have not publicly confirmed the ceremony, so the wedding remains reported rather than officially announced.
The timing has drawn extra attention because Edwards recently appeared on Great Company with Jamie Laing, where she revisited her 2015 split from Zayn Malik and described the difference between that relationship and the life she has built with Oxlade-Chamberlain.
Edwards and Oxlade-Chamberlain have been together since 2016, got engaged in 2022, and share two children, son Axel and daughter Alanis.
The Wedding Is Reportedly Planned for the Algarve

The Sun reported that Edwards and Oxlade-Chamberlain are expected to marry in Portugal’s Algarve region, with the couple flying out with a small group of family and friends. A later report from the outlet said the pair hosted a pre-wedding celebration at the Conrad Algarve hotel in Quinta do Lago.
Jade Thirlwall and Leigh-Anne Pinnock are reportedly expected to attend. The Sun also reported that Jesy Nelson is not expected to be on the guest list, though the Little Mix friendship fallout is separate from Edwards’ wedding plans.
The reported ceremony comes nearly four years after Edwards and Oxlade-Chamberlain announced their engagement in June 2022. Edwards has kept parts of the relationship public over the years, but the couple has not turned the wedding planning into a constant social-media rollout.
She Recently Revisited the Zayn Malik Split
Edwards’ podcast appearance put her old engagement to Malik back in the news. The official episode description says she discussed “going through a very public break-up with Zayn Malik” and the secure relationship she has found with Oxlade-Chamberlain.
People reported that Edwards said there was “overlap” at the end of her relationship with Malik and the beginning of his relationship with Gigi Hadid. She described the breakup as “hellish” and said the public attention made the pain harder to process.
Edwards and Malik began dating after meeting through The X Factor UK. They got engaged in 2013 and split in 2015.
The Pillowtalk Era Made the Breakup Harder

Edwards told Jamie Laing that Malik’s move into the PILLOWTALK era made the breakup feel even more public. Hadid appeared in the 2016 music video, and Edwards said the timing left her feeling abandoned and not good enough while the world watched.
She previously claimed in Little Mix’s 2016 book that Malik ended their engagement by text message. Malik denied that version in earlier interviews, saying he had more respect for Edwards than that.
In the new podcast conversation, Edwards did not treat the split as a simple piece of celebrity history. She spoke about the way heartbreak affected her sense of self and changed how she understood love.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain Became the Relationship She Described Differently
Edwards spoke about Oxlade-Chamberlain in very different terms. People reported that she said being with him helped her understand that her earlier relationship had been unhealthy.
She said love with Oxlade-Chamberlain does not leave her feeling sick to her stomach all the time. The podcast’s description also framed him as the secure and fulfilling love she has found now.
Edwards and Oxlade-Chamberlain have not posted a wedding announcement or confirmed the Portugal reports through representatives.
