Pete Davidson and Elsie Hewitt say they have reached an agreement for raising their 7-month-old daughter, Scottie, following the end of their relationship.
The former couple confirmed the development in a joint statement released approximately two months after their May breakup.
Although they described themselves as cooperatively co-parenting, they did not disclose how they will divide parenting time, financial responsibilities or major decisions involving their daughter.
Davidson and Hewitt Released a Joint Statement
A source confirmed that Davidson and Hewitt had reached what was described as a “joint agreement pertaining to their child.” “We are cooperatively coparenting our daughter whose well-being remains our top priority,” the pair said in their statement.
They added that they were committed to working together so Scottie would continue receiving love from both parents. Neither Davidson nor Hewitt provided an individual comment expanding on its terms.
The former couple did not reveal where Scottie will primarily live, how they will divide overnight visits or who will make decisions involving her health, education and travel.
The Statement Follows Conflicting Accounts After Their Split

Hewitt discussed the strain of new motherhood in a May TikTok posted shortly after the breakup became public. Responding to criticism of her appearance in paparazzi photographs, she said caring for a baby and continuing to work had become more important than looking polished.
“I have a baby to take care of, and I also have to work and make money,” Hewitt said, adding that she was doing it on her own and finding the experience difficult. She later responded affirmatively to a commenter who asked whether she meant she was also handling the financial responsibilities alone. That reply was subsequently deleted.
A source close to Hewitt told People that she felt she was carrying much of the “mental load” and day-to-day responsibility while trying to maintain professional and financial stability.
A Source Close to Davidson Disputed That Account
Another source offered a substantially different version of the parenting situation. The person told People that Davidson had made himself available and was providing financial support for Scottie. The source claimed he was paying all of his daughter’s expenses and additional costs.
He was seen spending Father’s Day with Scottie and his mother, Amy Waters Davidson, at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on June 21.
They Split Five Months After Scottie’s Birth
Davidson and Hewitt were first romantically linked in March 2025. Four months later, they announced that they were expecting their first child together.
Before the breakup, reports indicated that they were experiencing relationship difficulties while adjusting to parenthood. A source said in April that the couple was attempting to work through those issues together. Their separation became public in May, approximately five months after Scottie’s birth.

Scottie Rose Hewitt Davidson was born on December 12, 2025. Hewitt announced her arrival six days later through a collection of family photographs on Instagram. “Our perfect angel girl arrived 12/12/2025,” she wrote, describing herself as overwhelmed with love and gratitude.
Scottie’s first name honors Davidson’s late father, Scott Matthew Davidson, a New York City firefighter who died while responding to the September 11 attacks. Her middle name, Rose, is shared with Hewitt, and the couple gave their daughter both family surnames.
Before the breakup, Davidson described becoming a father as exhausting but rewarding and praised Hewitt as a devoted mother. He also said fatherhood had made him more protective and aware of his responsibility to make Scottie feel safe.
