Alex Cooper had a new reason to celebrate with her family this weekend, attending her brother Grant Cooper’s wedding while expecting her first child with husband Matt Kaplan.
The Call Her Daddy host was photographed at Grant’s Aug. 22 wedding to Emma Hayes in Edgartown, Massachusetts. TMZ’s photos showed Cooper in a loose-fitting gold-and-white dress as she joined family and friends for the ceremony.
The wedding carried an especially fitting family connection for Cooper. When she married Kaplan in Riviera Maya, Mexico, in April 2024, Grant was the person standing at the front of the ceremony officiating his sister’s vows.
Cooper attended his wedding during another major change in her own life. She and Kaplan revealed in May that they are expecting their first child, and the wedding came one day after Cooper celebrated her 32nd birthday.

Grant had a prominent role when Cooper and Kaplan exchanged vows two years earlier. In Vogue’s wedding feature, Cooper said her brother had been “so instrumental” throughout her life and had developed a close relationship with Kaplan.
“My brother did such an incredible job speaking so beautifully about our relationship,” Cooper said. She and Kaplan did not have traditional bridesmaids or groomsmen.
The couple also deliberately kept their vows from each other until the ceremony itself. Cooper walked down the aisle alone, while her and Kaplan’s dogs, Henry and Bruce, served as ring bearers with the couple’s rings attached to their collars.
After dinner, speeches and dancing, Cooper’s father encouraged the group to run into the ocean, and Cooper recalled that nearly the entire wedding party followed in their formal clothes.
Grant and Emma Married Exactly One Year After Their Engagement
This time, Grant was the groom. TMZ photographed him leaving Saint Elizabeth’s Church in Edgartown with Hayes after their Saturday ceremony, wearing a traditional black tuxedo while his bride chose a ball gown with a sweetheart neckline and ruffled skirt.
The Aug. 22 ceremony took place exactly one year after Grant proposed to Hayes, according to TMZ. The couple’s wedding weekend on Martha’s Vineyard also included a Friday welcome party, followed by the Saturday ceremony and reception.

Cooper and Kaplan announced their pregnancy on May 17, sharing photographs that showed the podcaster’s growing baby bump. Cooper captioned the announcement simply, “Our family.” In a recent PEOPLE interview, Cooper said becoming pregnant had opened her eyes to how much preparation and information expectant parents have to navigate.
That experience led her to work with Babylist on helping other parents-to-be by clearing baby registries. Cooper said she initially paid for one follower’s registry after receiving pregnancy advice from members of her “Daddy Gang” community, and the idea grew into a broader partnership.
