Scott Wolf and Kelley Wolf spent months putting their family back on steadier ground. That work will not end with them staying married.
The former couple has confirmed that they are continuing with their divorce after being “home together as a family” since early spring. In a joint statement to PEOPLE, they said the time had been focused on healing, rebuilding and finding stability after what they called an “extraordinarily difficult season.”
The update clears up a question that had followed Scott and Kelley since they began appearing together again with their three children. The family reunited publicly at Universal Studios Hollywood in February, and Scott said at the time that they were healing.
The pair, who married in 2004 and share Jackson, 17, Miller, 13, and Lucy, 12, now say their next chapter will be centered on co-parenting.
Family Healing Did Not Change Their Decision About the Marriage
Scott and Kelley said they reached the decision after “much care, consideration, and reflection.” “Since early spring, we have been home together as a family, focusing on healing, rebuilding, and finding stability after an extraordinarily difficult season,” they said. “After much care, consideration, and reflection, we have decided to move forward with our divorce.”
“Our hearts are heavy, but they are also filled with gratitude for the years we spent together, for all that we shared and built, for our loving marriage and, most of all, for our incredible children,” they continued.
Their focus now is on maintaining that progress while changing the structure of the family. “We now move forward into this next chapter, guided by love as co-parents to our children, and by our shared commitment to the best and brightest future for our family,” they said.
Their February Reunion Marked a Major Change
Scott filed for divorce in June 2025 after 21 years of marriage. What followed was an intensely public period involving family, legal and mental-health issues.
By early 2026, some of those disputes had begun to ease. Protective orders had been dismissed, and Scott and Kelley appeared publicly together with their children for the first time since the divorce filing.
On February 20th, the family spent the day at Universal Studios Hollywood and shared a photograph together with a one-word description, “Healing.”
Scott was careful at the time not to characterize the outing as a romantic reconciliation. “We are healing,” he told PEOPLE. “We are committed to being honest, authentic, and loving to ourselves, to each other, and for our children.” A few weeks later, Scott explained why he had chosen to make that progress visible after previously wanting to keep the divorce private.
“While I would never have wanted anything to have been made public, I guess it just felt like our family deserved to have things not just sit in some kind of awful dark place in terms of perception,” he said. He added that he loved Kelley and their three children and that the love among the five family members was what mattered most.

Another major development came in August, when Kelley publicly addressed the mental-health crisis she said she had experienced during the previous year. In an 11-part Instagram statement, Kelley said she had spent the year working with doctors, therapists, psychologists and other treatment professionals after realizing she had not been well.
She said she had learned that she experienced what she described as “breakthrough drug-induced mania with psychosis,” which she attributed to what she called a “perfect storm” involving stress, past trauma, hormonal changes, hallucinogens and prescribed medications.
She also acknowledged that statements and actions during that period had hurt the people closest to her. “My husband of twenty years was taken through a nightmare that wouldn’t even fly in a movie script; it was so brutal,” Kelley wrote, according to PEOPLE.
She apologized directly to Scott and their children for the pain she caused and thanked them for continuing to support her. “You never gave up on me, and you fought like hell until you landed me in safe harbor,” she wrote. “I owe you my life.” Scott responded to Kelley’s Instagram statement with five heart emojis.
