Selena Gomez has found a playful use for a Jonas Brothers song from her Disney Channel years, the soundtrack to her latest outfit reveal.

The 34-year-old singer and actress posted the TikTok on Oct. 15, choosing “Burnin’ Up” and captioning it with two words: “Feeling nostalgic.”

Fans called the reference “iconic” and joked that “the world was healing,” according to Entertainment Weekly.

Gomez married music producer Benny Blanco in September 2025, while Nick Jonas wed actress Priyanka Chopra in December 2018.

Gomez opens the clip by showing her red satin heels as the song mentions the footwear. The camera then moves upward to reveal a sparkling, strapless gown. When Nick’s “Red dress” ad-lib arrives, she mouths the words on cue before breaking into laughter.

Her custom Prada design featured intricate embellishments and a sculpted peplum waist, as Red Carpet Fashion Awards detailed. Diamond jewelry completed the look.

Her Original Cameo Came During Their Teenage Romance

In the original video, released in June 2008, Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas imagined themselves as action heroes in a series of fictional films. Gomez played the glamorous companion to Nick’s James Bond-style character, appearing alongside him in the spy-movie scenes.

She was then starring in Wizards of Waverly Place. Nick appeared with his brothers in Camp Rock, the Disney Channel movie released that same year. The song was the lead single from the trio’s third album, A Little Bit Longer, and reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Gomez and Nick began dating that year and continued their relationship on and off until 2010. During a 2015 interview with Capital, she said they had recently caught up and that she enjoyed being able to reconnect. “That, to me, was like puppy love. It was very sweet,” Gomez told host Max. She also said she still had affection for him.

On Therapuss with Jake Shane in August 2025, Gomez recalled getting to know Taylor Swift while Swift was dating Nick’s older brother Joe. The two singers became close as they dealt with their respective breakups. “She and I like to say the best thing we got out of those relationships was each other,” Gomez said, according to PEOPLE.

She also remembered sitting in a hotel room as Swift played her an unreleased “Love Story.” Swift was still considering it as a first single, while Gomez was immediately struck by how beautiful it sounded.

The Gown Came From Her Rare Impact Fund Benefit

Gomez wore the gown to the fourth annual Rare Impact Fund Benefit at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles on Oct. 14. Katy Perry, America Ferrera, Shay Mitchell and Blanco were among the guests.

She later changed into a second Prada look, a pale column gown decorated with multicolored crystals, sequins and silver fringe. Erin Walsh styled both outfits.

About 500 people attended the fundraiser, which raised nearly $3 million, according to Vogue. The auction included a pottery class with Gomez and Blanco and a dinner with a private Chris Martin performance, USA TODAY reported.

Gomez established the Rare Impact Fund alongside Rare Beauty in 2020 to expand young people’s access to mental health services and education. One percent of the cosmetics brand’s sales goes to the fund, alongside contributions from donors and corporate partners.

During the program, Gomez introduced the Katherine Short Legacy Award in memory of her Only Murders in the Building costar Martin Short’s late daughter. Katherine was a social worker, and the honor recognizes a similar commitment to helping communities.

Gomez and Short presented the inaugural award to La Familia Counseling Center, a Sacramento organization recognized for 50 years of community service.
