Snoop Dogg and Backstreet Boys member Kevin Richardson have finally met in person after years of social-media jokes claiming that the two musicians look like long-lost twins.
The pair embraced and posed together on August 2nd at the Los Angeles premiere of PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie at the Paramount Theatre.
The Backstreet Boys quickly acknowledged the internet history behind the photographs, sharing the long-awaited meeting with a message aimed at fans who immediately recognized the joke.
Both musicians were connected to the children’s movie. Snoop joined its voice cast, while Richardson and the other Backstreet Boys recorded a new song for the soundtrack.
The Backstreet Boys Declared That It ‘Finally Happened’

The Backstreet Boys shared photographs of Richardson and Snoop through the group’s official Instagram account on August 4th. “It finally happened… iykyk,” the caption read, using the abbreviation for “if you know, you know.” Entertainment Weekly reported that fans had circulated lookalike comparisons for years before the premiere finally brought them together.
Followers responded by celebrating the encounter and continuing the long-running comparisons between their appearances. Some called them twins, while others expressed surprise that two performers with decades in the entertainment industry had not previously met. NSYNC member Lance Bass joined the reaction by leaving clapping emojis beneath the post.
A ‘PAW Patrol’ Movie Finally Brought Them Together
The meeting took place during the premiere of PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie, the third theatrical installment in the animated franchise. Snoop voices a character named Dave in the film. The ensemble voice cast also includes Mckenna Grace, Jennifer Hudson, Jameela Jamil, Fortune Feimster, Terry Crews, Bill Nye and Paris Hilton.
The story follows the PAW Patrol pups after a storm leaves them stranded on an island populated by dinosaurs. Their rescue mission becomes more dangerous when Mayor Humdinger’s actions trigger a dormant volcano.
The Backstreet Boys Recorded ‘Bottle Up’ for the Movie
Richardson and the other Backstreet Boys are connected to the movie through “Bottle Up,” a new song created for its soundtrack. The group released the track and its official music video in June.
The Backstreet Boys’ official website confirmed that “Bottle Up” was recorded for PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie. All five members: Richardson, Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell and AJ McLean appear in the music video alongside characters and scenes from the animated franchise.
