Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s reported wedding celebration has been surrounded by secrecy for weeks, but a new report says one part of the privacy plan may be less forceful than earlier headlines suggested.
TMZ reported that the electronic non-disclosure agreement sent to guests does not include an obvious monetary penalty if someone leaks details.
The outlet also reported that the agreement does not include a film release, making a wedding documentary or streaming special appear unlikely.
The report adds a new wrinkle to the secrecy around the July 3 event, which has been widely reported but not publicly confirmed by Swift or Kelce’s representatives.
The NDA Reportedly Has No Cash Penalty
The new detail changes the way earlier reports about an “ironclad” NDA read. Guests may still be asked not to share private information, but TMZ reported that the document does not include a monetary penalty or another obvious punishment if someone violates the agreement.
That does not mean guests can talk freely without consequences. TMZ reported that anyone who leaks details could still face public backlash from other attendees or risk being uninvited from related events.
The outlet also reported that the NDA does not include a film release.
Invitations Were Still Built for Secrecy
The NDA is only one part of the reported privacy plan. TMZ reported that the invitations were individually watermarked with each guest’s first and last name repeated throughout, making it easier to trace an invitation if it appears online.

The Venue Details Have Also Been Carefully Guarded
TMZ reported that invitations listed only “New York City” and the July 3 date, rather than naming Madison Square Garden. The outlet also reported that between 1,100 and 1,200 guests are expected at MSG for the main celebration.
Business Insider noted that Swift and her representatives have not commented on the wedding details. The outlet also reported that the broader MSG reports are still based on media reporting and educated guesswork, though a permit was filed to close streets around Madison Square Garden from July 2 to July 4.
