Vanessa Trump, 48, shared news about her latest test results in a video with daughter Kai: “It came back clear, so I’m finally cancer-free.”
Kai, 19, posted the clip on Instagram on Friday, October 23, PEOPLE reported. She hugged her mother after the announcement.
In her introduction, Kai said Vanessa had been diagnosed with breast cancer in April, about six months before the video appeared.
Vanessa shares five children with former husband Donald Trump Jr.: Kai, Donald III, Tristan, Spencer and Chloe. The couple married in 2005 and finalized their divorce in 2018.

The clip previewed a longer conversation featuring Vanessa and physician Dr. Nicole Saphier. Kai said they would discuss how her mother discovered she had breast cancer and what followed the diagnosis.
In the caption, Kai explained that the conversation also covered prevention and early detection. She encouraged viewers to learn more about their health and support people affected by the disease.
“The reason I like social media talking about breast cancer is because it’s reminding people that it is common,” Saphier said in the preview. Kai announced that the full interview is released on her YouTube channel.
Vanessa Disclosed Her Diagnosis in May and Later Shared a Surgery Update
Vanessa first told the public about her illness in an Instagram statement on May 20. She thanked her doctors for performing a procedure earlier that week, without specifying what it involved.
“While this isn’t news anyone expects, I’m working closely with my medical team on a treatment plan,” she wrote, according to ABC News.
She said she was staying hopeful with support from her family, children and other loved ones. Vanessa also thanked people for their kindness and asked for privacy while she focused on her health and recovery.
Her former sister-in-law Ivanka Trump responded publicly, wishing her strength and a swift recovery. On June 13, Vanessa said she had spent the previous four weeks recovering from surgery and was grateful to be healing.
“Soon, I’ll be starting the second stage of my treatment,” she wrote, according to Us Weekly. “Sending love, strength, and hope to everyone fighting this battle,” she added.
Her Children and Tiger Woods Offered Support During Treatment
Vanessa’s boyfriend, golfer Tiger Woods, publicly confirmed their relationship in March 2025. In PEOPLE’s June 5 report, an unnamed source close to Woods’ camp said the couple were keeping in close contact and supporting each other through their respective health issues.
Kai told Fox News Digital in August that Vanessa was improving after feeling unwell following treatment. In a separate interview, she described her siblings helping at home during treatment. “It’s a long journey,” Kai said.
