Eight years after her emotional Victoria’s Secret farewell, Adriana Lima was back to take the evening’s closing solo walk.

The Brazilian supermodel, 45, made her 21st appearance at the brand’s fashion show in Los Angeles on Sunday, October 18. Page Six reported that the milestone extended her record as its longest-running runway model.

Her wardrobe changed with the show’s seasonal themes: neon green lace and flowers for one walk, then an elaborate white ensemble for the other.

The event also brought Lima together with Alessandra Ambrosio, who celebrated her own milestone with a 20th appearance.

Bella Hadid opened the show in green, with Lima following during the spring section. Lima wore a lace bodysuit with crisscross straps and cutouts along the sides, framed by wings covered in pink blossoms.

The floral branches extended above her shoulders, while her dark hair fell in long, loose waves from a center part.

For her later walk, Lima wore white lace with decorative fringe and large, structured wings embellished with beads. The sparkling details replaced the earlier flowers as she paused at the end of the runway.

A cast finale followed her individual appearance. The Hadid sisters, Ambrosio, Ashley Graham and Alex Consani were among those returning together, with pink confetti falling as the Spice Girls’ “Say You’ll Be There” played, according to Marie Claire.

Her Runway Career Continued After the 2018 Send-Off

Lima began working with Victoria’s Secret in 1998 and made her fashion-show debut the following year, according to the brand’s biography. She became an Angel in 2000.

She appeared in almost every edition through her original departure, missing 2009 while on maternity leave. Victoria’s Secret did not stage its usual runway show in 2004.

By the time Lima said goodbye in 2018, she had completed 18 shows. W Magazine documented the special tribute shown during that year’s taping, when her departure was presented as the end of her runway tenure.

She returned for the company’s revived fashion show in New York in 2024 and walked again the following year. Her history also includes three Fantasy Bra appearances, in 2008, 2010 and 2014. For the last of those, she and Ambrosio modeled jeweled designs together.

Lima Recalls How Her Friendship With Ambrosio Began

In the recent Victoria’s Secret interview “Ask An Angel with Adriana Lima,” the model recalled admiring Ambrosio before they became colleagues.

As CAPRICHO reported on October 4, Lima followed Ambrosio through her appearances on the Brazilian magazine’s covers. When they eventually worked at the same fashion show, Lima excitedly told her how long she had been watching her career.

The friendship deepened at the Victoria’s Secret show in Cannes in 2000. Lima identified Ambrosio as the first Angel with whom she became friends, recalling how close they grew during that trip.

The Los Angeles Show Includes a $50 Million Fantasy Bra

Held at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, the presentation marked the show’s first return to Los Angeles since 2007.

Executive creative director Adam Selman organized it around spring, summer, autumn and two winter sections, with a PINK segment between them. Performers included Megan Thee Stallion, Tate McRae, Megan Moroney and KATSEYE, Reuters reported.

Kylie Jenner made her Victoria’s Secret runway debut wearing a $50 million Fantasy Bra created with Jacob & Co. According to Vogue, the piece featured 4,410 natural diamonds surrounding a 75.54-carat yellow diamond.

Another newcomer, Solange Omon, earned her place through the brand’s nationwide casting competition, documented in the YouTube series Angels Among Us.
