Alex Warren gave thousands of fans at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena an unexpected reason to gasp before deciding the footage was good enough to post himself.
The 25-year-old singer took a hard fall during his September 4 stop on the Finding Family on the Road tour after climbing into the stands to greet fans. As Warren made his way back over a barrier, he landed near production equipment, lost his footing and disappeared toward the floor as the crowd reacted.
PEOPLE reported that Warren shared the video after the show with a caption built around the traditional theatrical good luck wish: “they told me to break a leg before the show.”
He later followed that with another joke on TikTok, writing that he “yearns to not limp right now.” Warren has not announced a specific injury or said that the fall will affect his remaining Australian tour dates.

The Instagram clip shows Warren moving through the crowd before trying to return from the seating area. He clears the barrier and initially gets his feet beneath him, but quickly loses his balance around the equipment below as nearby fans reach toward him.
The sound from the arena does not require much interpretation. A collective gasp follows the fall before the clip cuts away.
Warren made the moment considerably less solemn when he posted it to his own Instagram account. “They told me to break a leg before the show,” he wrote. No medical diagnosis accompanied the footage.
His TikTok Follow Up Says He Is Limping

Warren’s TikTok follow up used a video filmed before the concert mishap, showing him dancing and sliding across a table. He captioned the post “filmed this before I fell at my concert” and added, “I yearn to not limp right now.”
That is the most specific public update he has given about how the fall felt afterward. Warren has not said that he broke anything, received medical treatment or needed to cancel a performance.
The TikTok also uses “Emerald Eyes,” a track from his second album, WILDCHILD. The 13 song album was released August 28 and also includes “Passenger,” “Fine Place to Die,” “Fever Dream” and the title track.
His Melbourne Run Spans Three Nights
The fall happened during the first of three scheduled Rod Laver Arena concerts. Frontier Touring lists Warren in Melbourne on September 4, 5 and 6 before the Australian leg moves to Adelaide on September 9 and Perth on September 12.
The September 4 show also brought a first for the new album. Live Nation’s published setlist identifies Warren’s encore performance of “Emerald Eyes” as the song’s live debut. He followed it with “Ordinary,” and the setlist notes that he ran into the crowd during the closing song before the fall.
WILDCHILD arrived only a week before the Melbourne shows, giving Warren plenty of new material to introduce on the road. The fall supplied one addition to the set that was definitely not on the track list.
