Adrianne Curry is questioning why Victoria’s Secret chose Kylie Jenner to wear its most expensive Fantasy Bra, calling the lingerie brand a “joke” after the reality star’s runway appearance.
Curry, the first winner of “America’s Next Top Model,” made the comments during an October 19 YouTube livestream, according to Page Six.
Jenner made her Victoria’s Secret debut on October 18 at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California, wearing a design valued by jeweler Jacob & Co. at $50 million.
Page Six said representatives for Jenner and Victoria’s Secret did not respond to its requests for comment.
Curry Said the Fantasy Bra Should Go to a Leading Angel
“That’s for the belle of the ball,” Curry said of the assignment. She argued that the honor should go to the brand’s leading Angel.
She also criticized its reliance on established celebrity fame, pointing to Adriana Lima as an example of the stars she said it once helped build.
The Fantasy Bra had last appeared on the runway in 2018, when Elsa Hosk wore it. According to Victoria’s Secret, Claudia Schiffer modeled the first version in 1996, while Lima and Alessandra Ambrosio each wore one in 2014.
Curry Disputed Accusations of Body Shaming

Her broader criticism also targeted a transgender model, whom Entertainment Weekly identified as Alex Consani. Curry argued that the company had abandoned the appearance standards she associated with its earlier shows.
In a subsequent Instagram video, Curry rejected accusations of body shaming and said she did not consider Jenner ugly. She maintained that Jenner did not fit her idea of a runway model.
Jenner previously closed Coperni’s spring/summer 2025 show at Disneyland Paris in October 2024, wearing a strapless black ballgown, as PEOPLE reported.
Victoria’s Secret Explained Why It Chose Jenner
In an interview published by Vogue on the day of the show, chief creative officer Adam Selman described Jenner as a “cultural powerhouse.” He wanted an unexpected wearer whose influence extended across fashion, television and entertainment.
Selman also said the Fantasy Bra’s return had been one of the features fans requested most after the previous year’s show.
Jenner Says Victoria’s Secret Approached Her Months Earlier
“They came to me,” Jenner said in a backstage vlog released after the show. According to EntertainmentNow, the invitation arrived several months in advance.
Jenner described growing up watching the fashion show and feeling grateful for the invitation. She worked with the production team on her movements and the staging, while longtime makeup artist Ariel Tejada helped prepare her final look.
Jenner said she was nervous despite having time to prepare. Conversations with other participants reassured her that they were anxious too, and she admitted she had barely slept before arriving for the event.
The Show Also Introduced a Model Found Through Open Casting
Solange Omon was announced as the winner of “Angels Among Us” during the show, completing a nationwide search for a new Victoria’s Secret Angel.
The YouTube competition followed 10 finalists through their preparations. Gigi Hadid, Ashley Graham, Alex Consani and Paloma Elsesser appeared alongside Selman to offer guidance to the aspiring models.
More than 100,000 people began the application process, and approximately 900 were invited to audition in four U.S. cities, chief marketing and customer officer Elizabeth Preis told Forbes.
Omon reached the final three alongside Andreína Martínez Fournier and Tatyana Tinsley. Her victory came with a modeling contract with IMG Models.
