Bianca Censori’s Basel Look Draws Attention as Kanye West’s Switzerland Trip Comes With Canceled-Show Backdrop

Bianca Censori turned a Switzerland trip with Kanye West into another heavily photographed fashion moment.

The Australian architect and designer stepped out with West in Basel this week during the city’s Art Basel rush, wearing a sparkly gold leotard with thin straps and black knee-high boots.

The Sun published photos of the couple walking hand-in-hand through the city, with West in a black T-shirt, leather blazer, dark trousers and loafers.

The outing was not just another overseas celebrity sighting. West had already been linked to Basel this year because a planned concert at FC Basel’s St. Jakob-Park stadium was canceled before it could happen.

Censori’s Gold Leotard Became the Basel Photo Moment

Censori’s outfit put the focus exactly where her recent public looks usually put it: on sharp contrast, exposed lines and a styling choice designed to travel fast online.

The Basel setting gave the photos a different frame from a standard date night. Art Basel opened its 2026 Basel show with preview events on June 16 and 17 before public days from June 18 through June 21, bringing collectors, artists, galleries and fashion-world figures into the city.

West stayed in the darker uniform he has favored in many recent appearances. Censori’s gold leotard and black boots carried the visual weight of the outing.

The Trip Followed a Canceled FC Basel Show

Basel had already entered West’s 2026 story before the couple were photographed around the art fair.

In April, Reuters said FC Basel canceled a planned West concert at St. Jakob-Park after reviewing the request. The club said it could not provide a platform for the artist “within this context” because the event did not align with its values.

Swiss media had placed the concert in June, according to Reuters. The cancellation followed wider European pushback against West after years of public controversy, including antisemitic comments.

Reuters also noted that West, who legally goes by Ye, apologized in January, attributed past behavior to untreated bipolar disorder and renounced earlier praise of Adolf Hitler.

The couple’s Basel stop unfolded around the same art-week scene where celebrity, fashion and gallery culture often overlap.

Social posts from the city placed West and Censori near the Art Basel orbit, including clips and photos that appeared to show them with designer Michèle Lamy.

Censori has repeatedly turned public appearances with West into fashion headlines.
