Billionaire investor John Paulson and his fiancée, Alina de Almeida, are preparing for another major family milestone while also planning a destination wedding in Monaco.

Page Six reported that the couple are expecting their second child together, months after welcoming their daughter Jacqueline in February 2025.

The baby news comes as Paulson and de Almeida are also mapping out a three-day wedding celebration for June 2027, according to the outlet.

Paulson, 70, and de Almeida, 37, became parents together last year when Jacqueline was born. Page Six reported that the new baby will be their second child as a couple.

De Almeida told the outlet that they are excited about both the wedding and the baby. “My life is like a dream come true,” she said.

The pair got engaged in April 2024 after three years of dating, according to Page Six. Their relationship drew broad attention because Paulson, one of the best-known hedge fund billionaires in the U.S., was still tied to a public divorce fight when the engagement became news.

Paulson also has two children from his previous marriage to Jenny Paulson.

A Monaco Wedding Is Reportedly Planned

Page Six reported that Paulson and de Almeida are planning to marry in Monaco next June, with events expected to stretch across three days.

The ceremony is planned for Villa La Vigie on the cape of the Monte-Carlo Beach, according to the outlet. Page Six reported that the reception is expected to take place at the five-star Hotel de Paris.

Paulson told Page Six that the couple chose Monaco because it is “ultra-sophisticated and elegant” and called it “the creme de la creme of Europe.”

Page Six reported that he is friends with Prince Albert of Monaco and serves on the board of trustees for the Princess Grace Foundation, which supports the arts.

De Almeida is not a traditional celebrity, but her relationship with Paulson has made her a recurring society-page figure.

Page Six reported that she is from Montclair, New Jersey, and completed residency and clinical nutrition rotations at Columbia and Cornell NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, according to her nutrition consulting website.

Her Effective Lifestyle profile describes her as a registered dietitian with experience in weight-loss counseling. The site says she has worked in hospitals and private practice.

The Baby News Follows a Settled Divorce Battle

Paulson’s family life has been covered closely because of his years-long divorce dispute with his ex-wife, Jenny Paulson.

Page Six reported in May that the former couple had settled their divorce after a lengthy court battle. The settlement was sealed, and court documents showed it was filed on May 4.

The outlet reported that the settlement also resolved trust-related litigation and that the terms would remain private.
