Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau are keeping their relationship in public view after making a splash together at the Tribeca Festival earlier this month.
The singer and the former Canadian prime minister were photographed during a casual picnic in Santa Barbara, California, on Saturday, June 13.
People reported that the pair spread out on a gingham blanket after picking up lunch and were seen kissing and cuddling in the afternoon sun.
TMZ reported that Perry and Trudeau arrived in Perry’s Moke with food for the picnic and shared several quick kisses when they had moments to themselves.

TMZ reported that Perry and Trudeau spent time on a blanket during the Santa Barbara outing, with a couple of children also along for part of the day.
The pair kept the outing casual. InStyle, citing photos obtained by Page Six, reported that Perry wore a white T-shirt, ivory striped pants, a straw hat and sandals. Trudeau wore an olive-green shirt, gray shorts, sunglasses and flip-flops.

The picnic came less than a week after Perry and Trudeau attended the Tribeca Festival premiere of Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris in New York City.
People reported that the appearance marked their red-carpet debut as a couple. Perry wore a white halter gown with rose-like details, while Trudeau wore a black suit with a white shirt.
At the event, Perry spoke about feeling more grounded after the tour and after meeting Trudeau. “I am very in love,” she told People, adding that the Paris show was filmed after she met “the love of my life.”
Extra also reported that Perry described Trudeau as an anchor during the Q&A, saying that having that anchor made her feel “really whole.”
Their Relationship Has Been Public Since 2025
Perry and Trudeau first sparked romance rumors in July 2025 after they were seen together in Montreal. People reported that they were spotted on a walk with a small dog and later had dinner at Le Violon, where a restaurant representative said they were kind and friendly to the staff.
Perry and Orlando Bloom had recently ended their engagement after years together. Trudeau and Sophie Grégoire Trudeau announced their separation in 2023 after 18 years of marriage.
Since then, Perry and Trudeau have appeared together at several public events. People reported that they attended a Montecito Tastemaker event in April before stepping onto the Tribeca red carpet together in June.
