More than three decades after Sliver, Billy Baldwin is still carrying a very specific memory from the set: the point when he says he no longer wanted to kiss Sharon Stone for the cameras.

Baldwin revisited the 1993 erotic thriller during the Sept. 8 episode of Lisa Guerrero Unleashed, naming Stone as the co-star he would “never, ever” work with again. He claimed the pair got along during the first few weeks before Stone stopped saying hello or goodbye to him for roughly three months, according to Entertainment Weekly.

By the time their final love scene arrived, Baldwin said he went to the producers and told them he could not do it. He ultimately agreed to continue filming but made one request “Please, please don’t make me kiss her.”

Stone has said producer Robert Evans pressured her to sleep with Baldwin to improve his performance and their chemistry. Baldwin now says Evans approached him with a version of the same suggestion, although he disputes Stone’s explanation of why Evans made it.

Baldwin Says the Final Love Scene Came With One Request

Baldwin said Sliver contained four love scenes between his Zeke Hawkins and Stone’s Carly Norris. According to him, the first three were shot during the early weeks of production, when the actors were still getting along.

The final scene came later, after their working relationship had deteriorated. Baldwin recalled arranging a meeting with Evans and other producers and saying he did not want to film it.

He eventually agreed to perform the scene but asked that it be staged without a kiss. Page Six reported that Baldwin now connects that request to the sequence in which Zeke and Carly have sex against a support column.

Stone and Baldwin Say Evans Pushed the Same Idea for Different Reasons

A post shared by Louis Theroux (@officiallouistheroux)

Stone first described the alleged encounter with a producer in her 2021 memoir, The Beauty of Living Twice, without naming either man. In 2024, while speaking with Louis Theroux, she identified the producer as Evans and the co-star as Baldwin.

Stone’s account was that Evans wanted her to sleep with Baldwin because he believed doing so would improve Baldwin’s performance and give the pair stronger chemistry on camera. She said she rejected the idea and resented being made responsible for fixing what Evans viewed as a performance problem.

Baldwin now says Evans spoke to him as well, but he disputes that characterization. Baldwin claims the producer focused on reports of hostility between the actors and characterized it as pent-up sexual tension. According to Baldwin’s version, Evans essentially encouraged the pair to sleep together in the hope that releasing that tension would change what was happening on set and, in turn, what appeared on camera.

Baldwin’s Claim About Janice Dickinson Has Been Denied

Baldwin’s frustration with Stone became public again in 2024 after she identified him and Evans during the Theroux interview. He responded on social media with allegations of his own and questioned whether Stone was still upset because, he claimed, he had rejected her advances.

One of Baldwin’s recurring stories involves model Janice Dickinson. He claims Dickinson told him that Stone said after their screen test that she intended to make Baldwin fall hard for her. Dickinson has denied telling him that. When Baldwin first made the allegation publicly in 2024, she said Stone never made such a comment to her and that the incident Baldwin described “never happened.”

He’d ‘Never, Ever’ Work With Stone Again, but Says He Wants a Truce

Asked to identify someone he would never work with again, Baldwin did not hesitate before naming Stone. He described the atmosphere during Sliver as deeply uncomfortable and said the tension affected other people working on the movie as well.

He said he would still like to “bury the hatchet” with Stone. The Independent reported that Baldwin said he would be willing to shake Stone’s hand and give her a hug despite everything he had just recounted.

Baldwin said he and Stone have crossed paths in the decades since Sliver, including at an airport and a car show, but have never spoken to each other.
