Blake Lively shared a rare collection of family photographs from Wrexham AFC’s July 29 preseason match against Liverpool at Yankee Stadium, giving followers glimpses of husband Ryan Reynolds, their children and friends who joined them in New York City.
The actress posted the carousel on August 7, more than a week after the game. The images included affectionate moments with Reynolds, photographs with their children and shots of the family and friends watching the Welsh club Reynolds co-owns.
Lively described seeing Wrexham play Liverpool at Yankee Stadium as “one of the most surreal moments of this wild and beautiful ride.” She thanked the friends, relatives and Wrexham supporters who came to the match and those who had supported the club’s journey over the years.
Liverpool won the preseason friendly 1-0.
Lively Shared Rare Glimpses of Their Children

The carousel included several photographs of Lively and Reynolds together, including images of them holding hands and embracing at the stadium.
Their children also attended the outing. Lively largely kept them out of full view, although one photograph showed her embracing one of her daughters as they watched the game.
Other images featured friends who joined the couple at Yankee Stadium. Lively and Reynolds have generally limited how much of their children they show publicly, making the family photographs an unusual addition to her Instagram feed.
Lively Thanked Guy Aroch for Capturing the Day
In her Instagram carousel, Lively thanked the friends, family members and people connected to Wrexham who joined them in New York. She also singled out photographer Guy Aroch, whom she called a lifelong friend, for bringing his camera and documenting the outing.
“You’ve shown us time and time again, there’s no better gift than having great memories with your loved ones captured,” Lively wrote, adding, “love you buddy.”
Liverpool Beat Wrexham 1-0 at Yankee Stadium
The July 29 friendly brought Wrexham and Liverpool to one of New York City’s best-known sports venues during preseason preparations for both clubs.
Liverpool ultimately won 1-0 after Rio Ngumoha’s deflected strike in the 75th minute. Wrexham’s match report described it as the club’s first defeat of the 2026-27 preseason. Reynolds co-owns Wrexham with Rob McElhenney and has regularly brought his family into celebrations surrounding the club.
Lively Swapped Her Heels for Nike Sneakers
Lively wore dark-wash Reformation jeans and a blue linen shirt to the match, accessorizing with Cartier jewelry, an Audemars Piguet watch and a zebra-striped Fendi bag with red detailing. Lively began the outing in Christian Louboutin heels before eventually changing into Nike sneakers. According to People, Reynolds wore beige pants, a plaid shirt and white sneakers.
