Brooklyn Beckham is reportedly getting business advice from billionaire father-in-law Nelson Peltz as he looks to turn Cloud23 into a much larger consumer brand.

An unnamed source told The Sun that Peltz has been encouraging Brooklyn to build the company around familiar products capable of selling in high volumes, expanding the range gradually as the brand becomes more established.

The same source claimed Brooklyn hopes eventually to create a business empire capable of rivaling or surpassing those built by David and Victoria Beckham. Neither Brooklyn nor Peltz has publicly confirmed those conversations or the comparison with his parents’ businesses.

Brooklyn has nevertheless been clear since Cloud23 launched in 2024 that he sees the company as more than a two-product hot sauce label. His own interviews have described a broader condiment business with plans for additional products and possible expansion into hospitality.

Cloud23 Was Always Supposed to Grow Beyond Hot Sauce

Brooklyn launched Cloud23 with two sauces, Sweet Jalapeño and Hot Habanero, positioning them as premium versions of an everyday grocery product.

He told Bon Appétit around the launch that he considered Cloud23 a “luxury line of condiments” and planned to introduce two new products every six to nine months. Several additional items were already being developed at the time.

Brooklyn outlined an even longer-term ambition in an interview with the Standard, saying he hoped to build a successful condiment company within five years. He also discussed eventually opening a restaurant and suggested a grilled-cheese concept as one possibility.

The newest report attributes a similar strategy to Peltz, with the source claiming he has advised Brooklyn to establish Cloud23 through recognizable, repeat-purchase products before moving into larger ventures.

Cloud23 has not yet expanded at the pace Brooklyn discussed in 2024. As of September 2026, its official U.S. store continues to center on Sweet Jalapeño, Hot Habanero and a variety pack containing both flavors, alongside merchandise and gift cards. The company’s U.K. site prominently features the same two sauces.

Nelson Peltz Has Decades of Experience With Consumer Brands

Peltz co-founded Trian Fund Management in 2005 and has spent decades investing in major food, restaurant and consumer-goods companies.

A Trian fact sheet lists companies including Wendy’s, Procter & Gamble, Sysco, Mondelēz and Heinz among businesses in which the firm has held significant investments or played an activist role.

Trian has maintained a particularly substantial position in Wendy’s. Reuters reported in August that the investment firm held roughly 16% of the fast-food company.

That experience gives Peltz direct exposure to businesses built around repeat purchases, mass-market distribution and recognizable consumer products, the same general category Brooklyn is trying to enter with Cloud23.

Peltz has also spoken positively about his son-in-law publicly. During the Wall Street Journal’s Invest Live event in February, he called Brooklyn “great” and said he hoped Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz Beckham would have a long and happy marriage.

His most memorable advice at the event concerned the family’s highly publicized disputes rather than business. “My advice is to stay the hell out of the press,” Peltz said.

Brooklyn has been equally enthusiastic about Peltz. In June, he called his father-in-law “the best dad in the world” in a birthday tribute, as WOG reported.

When Brooklyn launched Cloud23 in the U.K. in October 2024, David shared photographs from the event and told his eldest son how proud the family was of him, while Victoria attended the Whole Foods launch and promoted the sauces to her followers.

PEOPLE reported that David described Cloud23 as his new favorite hot sauce and Victoria said she was “officially obsessed” while praising the amount of work Brooklyn had put into creating the company.

The brand name itself also contains a connection to David. Brooklyn told Bon Appétit that 23 was his favorite number for several reasons. It was the date on which he proposed to Nicola and the number David wore during parts of his playing career with Real Madrid and the LA Galaxy.

Brooklyn had previously moved between photography, modeling and cooking before creating Cloud23. His food videos had become a regular part of his social media presence, and the sauces gave him his first consumer product to build around that interest.

David and Victoria’s Businesses Operate on a Much Larger Scale

Victoria Beckham Holdings reported £129.8 million in 2025 revenue and its first operating profit, according to company figures reported by Vogue. The company spans fashion and beauty and has developed an international retail operation over more than a decade.

David has built a separate commercial portfolio around his name. His official site details a partnership with Authentic Brands Group, which co-owns and manages the David Beckham brand.

A January 2026 SEC filing also announced a 20-year global fragrance licensing agreement between the Beckham brand and Interparfums.

Cloud23 is a much younger private company and does not publicly disclose revenue figures that would allow a direct financial comparison with either parent’s business.

Brooklyn continues to feature the sauces prominently in his cooking content, including recipes and restaurant-style dishes shared with his social media audience, while the larger expansion he discussed at launch remains a work in progress.

Brooklyn’s Relationship With His Parents Changed After the Launch

The family relationship surrounding Cloud23 looked very different by January 2026, when Brooklyn publicly confirmed his estrangement from David and Victoria.

“I do not want to reconcile with my family,” he wrote in a lengthy Instagram statement covered by The Guardian. “I’m not being controlled, I’m standing up for myself for the first time in my life.”

Brooklyn accused his parents of trying to control public narratives around the family and interfering in his marriage to Nicola. He also claimed they had pressured him before his 2022 wedding over rights connected with his name.

David and Victoria have not publicly issued a detailed point-by-point response to those allegations. David spoke the following day about parenting and allowing children to make mistakes without directly addressing Brooklyn’s claims.

Brooklyn repeatedly referred to the commercial identity surrounding his family in the statement. “My family values public promotion and endorsements above all else,” he wrote. “Brand Beckham comes first.”

He also said separating himself from the family dynamic had reduced anxiety he had experienced for much of his life.

“My wife and I do not want a life shaped by image, press or manipulation,” Brooklyn wrote. “All we want is peace, privacy and happiness for us and our future family.”
