Ten days after Chappell Roan invited Christina Aguilera onstage in Los Angeles, it was Aguilera’s turn to host. The two posed together on Halloween at Aguilera’s Beverly Hills home, with Roan dressed as a porcelain doll and Aguilera as a harlequin clown.
For her annual Xtinaween party on October 31, Aguilera turned the grounds into a haunted 1930s fairground. She called it “Creepy Carnival: After Dark” and worked on the design with Sterling Engagements, designer Dylan Robbins and set designer Orrin Whalen.
Illuminated jack-o’-lanterns greeted guests at the fun house. Beyond the entrance were carnival games, tarot readers and a haunted maze. There were also food trucks, photo booths and, for anyone willing to try it in costume, a bouncy house.
Aguilera had given fans one clue about her costume three days earlier. She posted a bathtub selfie captioned “Last looks before xtinaween” and slipped a clown emoji between a pumpkin and a little purple devil.

Agro Studio made Aguilera’s burgundy-and-ivory striped corset. Stylist Chris Horan paired it with microshorts, oversized puff sleeves, a ruffled collar and diamond-patterned stockings. Dark red ribbons ran through her long blonde curls.
Makeup artist Lora Arellano outlined a white heart on Aguilera’s face with tiny pearls. Beside her, Roan wore a lace-trimmed dress and black strapped shoes for her doll costume. The portrait of the pair, taken by Cobrasnake, appeared in InStyle.
Horan also styled Aguilera’s 2025 costume, which she called “Shipwreck-Tina.” Its centerpiece was a 3D-printed headpiece by Chrishabana that made it look as though a broken pirate ship had landed in her hair.
Fairy Wings, Fake Blood and Rhinestones at Xtinaween
Paris Hilton wore fairy wings and a crown of flowers with her blue-and-turquoise outfit. Carmen Electra came in a white clown dress with a ruffled skirt, three black pom-poms down the front and splashes of red across the fabric. She matched it with high pigtails, clown makeup and boots.
Hilton’s husband, Carter Reum, joined her for a photo with Aguilera and her fiancé, Matthew Rutler. Members of XG posed with Aguilera, while Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds and MGK turned up in black and rhinestones. Dita Von Teese, Barbie Ferreira and guitarist Tom Morello were also among the guests.
Aguilera’s Halloween tradition started with her mother, she told Jimmy Kimmel Live! in 2023. By then she was hiring actors for her own haunted house and letting neighborhood trick-or-treaters choose among three levels of fright.
The Night Roan Invited Aguilera to Sing ‘Coffee’

On October 21, Roan opened her two-night Super Graphic Spectacular at the Shrine Auditorium. The benefit marked the first anniversary of her Midwest Princess Project, with net proceeds going to the organization’s work supporting transgender youth and LGBTQ+ communities. Lola Young and Tinashe performed on opening night, and comedian Caleb Hearon hosted.
Roan introduced Aguilera as someone who had given other women in pop the freedom to dress and sing as they pleased. Roan watched from the piano bench as Aguilera sang her 2002 hit “Beautiful.” Then they sang “Coffee,” which Aguilera called her favorite Roan song, according to the Los Angeles Times.
Roan stumbled over the opening line and the two started again, as Wealth of Geeks previously reported. Aguilera later tagged Roan in a clip from the show and wrote, “We can get coffee anytime xxx.”
