Will Reeve, the youngest son of the late Superman icon Christopher Reeve and Dana Reeve, is officially off the market. The 33-year-old ABC News correspondent married his longtime partner and event planner, Amanda Dubin, in a stunning and emotional ceremony in Miami, Florida, on Saturday, January 17. The nuptials brought together a mix of Hollywood legacy and broadcast news royalty, which marked a joyous milestone for the Reeve family.
The couple got engaged in November 2024 and exchanged vows in what guests are calling a “magical” evening that perfectly blended elegance with deep sentimental tributes to Will’s late parents.
While the couple kept the specific venue under wraps to ensure privacy, the event was a “hush-hush” but lavish affair attended by close family and high-profile friends.
The festivities kicked off on Friday night with a pre-wedding celebration that saw several of Will’s Good Morning America colleagues letting loose. Robin Roberts was accompanied by her wife, Amber Laign, and posted a glowing photo from the pre-party while sharing a table with fellow ABC veterans Sam Champion and Lara Spencer.
“Pre-party last night before heading to celebrate a beautiful couple’s ‘say I do!” Roberts captioned the Instagram post. She later added on her Stories that it was “a magical night celebrating a magical couple.”
The bride’s mother, Victoria Dubin, is a renowned New York event planner who works alongside her daughter. She shared a poignant behind-the-scenes moment just before the ceremony.
“The bride has just departed for her first look,” Victoria wrote on Instagram. “She took our breath away, and the emotion her father and I feel is palpable.”
Honoring Christopher and Dana
For Will, who lost his father in 2004 and his mother in 2006, the wedding was inevitably bittersweet. However, he ensured his parents’ presence was felt throughout the day.
In interviews leading up to the wedding, Will revealed his plan to wear a pair of his father’s cufflinks as a subtle but powerful tribute. “I’ll be wearing his cufflinks,” he told People last year. “To reintroduce my parents to people who loved them and to show off my parents to a new generation.”
The choice of Miami may also have been a nod to a desire for a bright and vibrant celebration of life, which contrasts with the tragedy that touched his early years. Amanda is 29 and a graduate of Cornell University. She works directly with her mother at Victoria Dubin Events, which is a high-end planning firm known for orchestrating exclusive New York galas and weddings. Her professional background likely came in handy. On an episode of Live with Kelly and Mark last year, host Mark Consuelos joked to Will, “This is the easiest wedding you’ll ever be part of,” given his bride’s expertise.
The couple got engaged in November 2024 in a cinematic proposal at a private event space in the Empire State Building. Will chose this venue specifically because of its significance in his father’s film Superman II.
“Friday was the happiest night of our lives,” Will said in a statement at the time. “We can’t wait to spend forever together.”
