Four-year-old Love Sean Combs had a question for her father on his birthday: when was he coming to visit her?

The message appeared on the child’s Instagram account Wednesday, November 4, as Sean “Diddy” Combs turned 57 while serving a federal prison sentence in Pennsylvania.

Love, whose mother is Dana Tran, had celebrated her own birthday on October 15. Her recording joined public tributes from several of Combs’ older children.

The post also followed a rare interview in which Tran discussed raising their daughter during Combs’ incarceration. She said Love’s older siblings remained closely involved in the little girl’s life, regularly asking to spend time with her.

Love began by greeting her father and wishing him a happy birthday. Then she asked, “When are you going to come visit me?” according to TMZ’s report.

She told him she missed him before moving on to questions about his day. She wanted to know what he had eaten and how old he was turning.

Love sang “Happy Birthday” and held up a drawing she had made for him, with blue and red markings and the word “Daddy” across the paper. Combs’ song “Bad Boy for Life” accompanied the Instagram tribute.

Jessie James and D’Lila Star Combs, 19, posted an Instagram Story featuring a photograph of themselves with their father and sister Chance.

“Happy birthday to the best dad ever!!!” the twins wrote. Their message said they loved and missed him and wished they could celebrate together.

As BCK reported, Justin and Christian Combs also shared photographs of their father. Chance posted a childhood picture, while Quincy Brown shared a video featuring Combs’ music.

Dana Tran Has Discussed Love’s Contact With Her Father

In her October 15 interview with Us Weekly, Tran said Love recognized her father’s songs but was unaware of the circumstances surrounding his incarceration. She explained that phone contact was limited. “You don’t get calls every day,” Tran said. “So we take what we can get, and he tries.”

Tran also described seeking advice before deciding whether Love should visit her father in prison. Because no one in her immediate family had been through that experience, she spoke with adults who had visited incarcerated parents as children.

Those conversations helped her consider what a visit might mean for Love. Tran said her daughter’s well-being guided the decision and that no one had pressured her.

Combs Is Serving a 50-Month Federal Prison Sentence

Combs is incarcerated at FCI Allenwood Low. The Bureau of Prisons confirmed his October transfer from FCI Fort Dix in New Jersey to ABC News, declining to disclose the reason for the move.

He was sentenced on October 3, 2025, to 50 months in prison after a jury convicted him of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.

The federal court judgment records the convictions and his acquittals on the racketeering conspiracy and sex-trafficking charges. The Los Angeles Times reported November 3 that his projected release date was February 6, 2028.
