Dylan Sprouse and Barbara Palvin are getting ready for a daughter.

People reported that the couple revealed the sex of their first baby on the premiere episode of Sprouse’s new podcast, Wildmen. E! News also covered the update after Sprouse shared that he and Palvin are expecting a baby girl.

Palvin publicly revealed her pregnancy at the Cannes Film Festival in May.

The Couple Has Not Picked a Name Yet

During the podcast, Palvin asked Sprouse whether he wanted to share the news. He then revealed that the couple had been calling the baby “principessa,” explaining that the word means princess in Italian.

Sprouse said he is excited to become a “girl dad,” while Palvin joked that having a daughter may “mellow” him out. He played along with the idea, saying he already loves a tea party.

The baby-girl reveal did not come with an official name announcement. People reported that Sprouse and Palvin are still going “back and forth” on what to call their daughter.

The couple did not share a due date during the podcast segment, but the reveal made clear that they are already talking about parenthood in the same relaxed, joking way that has shaped much of their public relationship.

Sprouse and Palvin revealed in May that they were expecting their first child together. The announcement became a red-carpet moment when Palvin debuted her baby bump at the Cannes Film Festival.

The pregnancy is a major new chapter for the couple, who began dating in 2018 and married in Hungary in July 2023. People noted that this will be the first child for both Sprouse and Palvin.

Palvin Has Also Spoken About Her Health Journey

Palvin previously opened up about undergoing surgery for endometriosis and has used her experience to encourage early diagnosis and specialist care.

People reported that Palvin said the surgery helped her become more mindful of her body and health. In a separate Wildmen podcast conversation, she also discussed the mental and physical changes she experienced during early pregnancy, including body-image struggles before she publicly announced the news.
