Emily Baldoni’s wedding anniversary tribute to Justin Baldoni contained one brief reference to being lifted, prompting some followers to connect the caption to his settled legal dispute with Blake Lively.
Emily marked the couple’s 13th anniversary on July 27 by sharing a black-and-white wedding photograph showing Justin holding her in the air. “Marriage, still my favorite lift. Thirteen, baby!!” she wrote.
Several commenters interpreted the wording as a reference to Lively’s allegation that Justin contacted her personal trainer about her weight while preparing for a scene in It Ends With Us that required him to lift her.
Neither Emily nor Justin mentioned Lively, the movie or the litigation in their anniversary posts.
Emily Celebrated Their Anniversary With a Wedding Throwback

Emily’s post featured a photograph apparently taken during the couple’s July 2013 wedding festivities. Justin is shown holding her above the ground while she extends one arm into the air.
Justin posted a different photograph from the wedding in which the newlyweds were dancing. “13 years later… we’re still dancing,” he wrote. “Happy anniversary, my love. I’m pretty sure this was the exact moment my pants ripped open.”
Followers Connected the Caption to Lively’s Weight Allegation
Lively alleged in her original complaint that Justin contacted her trainer without her knowledge and asked how much she would weigh when filming resumed. She characterized the inquiry as one of several indirect criticisms of her body and weight.
Justin disputed that interpretation. His side said he had a history of back problems and wanted the information because a planned scene required his character, Ryle Kincaid, to lift Lively’s Lily Bloom.
The Main Legal Dispute Ended in May
Lively sued Justin, his company Wayfarer Studios and other defendants in December 2024 over alleged misconduct during the production of It Ends With Us and alleged retaliation after she raised workplace concerns. Justin denied her allegations and pursued separate claims against Lively, Ryan Reynolds and others.
A federal judge dismissed Justin’s lawsuit in June 2025. In April 2026, the court dismissed Lively’s sexual-harassment claims and all claims against Justin individually, while allowing parts of her retaliation case to continue.
The remaining dispute ended with an undisclosed settlement on May 4, two weeks before the scheduled trial. The parties issued a joint statement expressing hope that the agreement would provide closure and did not admit wrongdoing.
Justin and Emily Recently Discussed Their Family’s Healing

Justin and Emily share daughter Maiya and son Maxwell. Emily remained publicly beside her husband during the litigation and joined him in a five-minute video released on July 8.
Justin said the family was healing from what he described as a traumatic experience and had refocused on the people and beliefs closest to them.
“We have had to rethink for ourselves what is real, and what matters,” he said. “It’s our family, it’s our friends, it’s our community, who have been there for us, it’s our faith.”
Emily said there was more they could eventually discuss but that their immediate priority was “continuing the healing and hanging out with our kiddos and enjoying life.”
