Professional wrestler Amber Nova was arrested in Orlando, Florida, on October 23 on charges of driving under the influence and refusing to submit to DUI testing.
The 34-year-old performer, whose real name is Amber Flora, has competed on the independent circuit and made appearances on national wrestling television.
TMZ reported the arrest the following day, citing jail records and court docket information.
The reports reviewed through October 25 did not identify a plea or resolution of the charges.
Flora Posted Bail and Has a November Compliance Date
The encounter occurred near South Orange Blossom Trail and McLeod Road in Orlando. Ringside News reported that documents identified Orlando Police Department Officer Alvin Silverio as the arresting officer and indicated that no collision was involved.
Flora was released at 10:07 a.m. after posting $1,000 bail on each charge, for a total of $2,000.
She attended a mandatory court appearance on October 24. The reported docket information lists November 2 as a compliance date.
Officers Described Signs They Believed Indicated Impairment
Ringside News said it obtained nine pages of law enforcement documents filed in Orange County. Its account of that paperwork describes what officers reported observing after Flora was taken to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office DUI Testing Center.
Officers noted bloodshot, glassy eyes, a flushed face and an odor of alcohol on her breath. They described her speech as slow and slurred, while also recording that she was cooperative during the initial observation period.
When she was escorted to the testing room, officers reported that she walked slowly and swayed from side to side.
According to the outlet’s account of the testing records, Flora initially declined to provide a breath sample. Officers explained the consequences of refusing and started the testing equipment to give her an opportunity to proceed.
Two Rounds of Testing Produced No Valid Breath Samples
The first testing sequence ran from 3:06 a.m. to 3:17 a.m. Two attempts were marked “NSP,” which the report identified as meaning no sample provided.
Flora asked to speak with an attorney during the process, according to the officer’s account. Before the refusal was finalized, she requested another opportunity to take the test.
Officers restarted the equipment. Two more attempts, between 3:19 a.m. and 3:31 a.m., also failed to produce valid samples. Police alleged that Flora continued talking during the periods when she was supposed to provide a sample.
The officer recorded a refusal at the end of that second sequence. The described paperwork contains no measured blood alcohol concentration.
Nova Has Appeared on NXT and AEW Programming
Nova faced Nikki Cross on the August 8, 2018 episode of NXT, with Cross winning the match, according to WWE. She returned for the January 23, 2019 episode, teaming with Tanea Brooks in a loss to Kairi Sane and Io Shirai.
She also worked for Impact Wrestling. In an October 2020 interview with Fightful, Nova discussed seeking a larger opportunity after those appearances. She said she remained interested in tryouts with major promotions and continued training while the pandemic limited openings.
Her AEW appearances included an April 14, 2021 match against Kris Statlander on Dynamite. Statlander won in her return to competition, as documented in the promotion’s official results.
Nova has also held the SHINE Nova Championship. The promotion’s July 2024 event catalog listed her as the defending champion against Kelsey Heather.
The World Wrestling Network catalog lists Nova against Joiya Blake at SHINE 86 in Clearwater, Florida, on April 12, 2026.
