Bonnie Wright has welcomed her second son with husband Andrew Lococo, introducing the newest member of their family in an Instagram announcement on October 17.

The Harry Potter actress revealed that Aster Sky Wright Lococo was born at home on September 28. By the time she shared the news publicly, the couple had spent nearly three weeks with their baby.

Wright, 35, explained that Aster was named after the star-shaped flower. She affectionately called him their “little star” and said his older brother, three-year-old Elio Ocean, had already showered him with love.

“Thank you universe for my loving bundle of boys!” she wrote alongside a collection of photographs showing the family settling into life together.

The announcement opened with a photograph of Aster asleep in a striped onesie, tucked into blankets. The carousel also included an outing with Lococo and Elio.

As The Independent reported, father and son were photographed walking along a boardwalk while pushing Aster’s stroller. In another picture, Elio leaned inside to kiss his baby brother.

Wright thanked the people who supported her through the delivery, tagging Uma Mother and Meaghan Snider in her caption. She credited them with “guiding us through the birth portal.”

Her Harry Potter Costars Send Their Congratulations

Evanna Lynch, who played Luna Lovegood, was among Wright’s former castmates celebrating the announcement. “Congratulations Bonnie and Andrew!!! What a beautiful little guy and beautiful names,” she wrote, according to Entertainment Weekly.

Katie Leung, who portrayed Cho Chang, also congratulated Wright, called Aster fortunate to have her as his mother and encouraged her to rest.

Wright grew up with the franchise, playing Ginny Weasley in all eight films. Her first appearance was in 2001’s Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.

Wright first revealed she was expecting on April 5, sharing photographs of herself reclining on a couch with Elio across her lap and her baby bump visible beneath her shirt. “Two babies on my lap,” she wrote, telling followers that their “second little earthling” would arrive in the fall.

She became more candid about the experience in a May Instagram update. As Us Weekly reported, Wright described feeling pulled between caring for a toddler and the physical demands of pregnancy. She mentioned nausea and dizziness, along with the emotional work of connecting with a baby she had yet to meet.

“Second pregnancy definitely hits different,” she wrote. Her reflection also considered how another child would change her, describing the uncertainty of discovering who that new person would be.

Motherhood Has Changed How Wright Sees the Weasleys

Wright and Lococo married in March 2022 and became parents when Elio Ocean Wright Lococo was born at home on September 19, 2023. His little brother arrived nine days after his third birthday.

In a 2025 interview with PEOPLE, Wright said motherhood had deepened her appreciation for her fictional parents, Molly and Arthur Weasley. She admired their homemade clothes, hand-me-downs and the unconditional affection they offered Harry.

“I need to parent more like the Weasleys,” she said. Becoming a parent also made Harry’s loss of his own mother and father more painful for her to contemplate.

Wright had previously told Us Weekly in September 2024 that she hoped to introduce Elio to the books before showing him the films. She wanted to read the stories with him and considered revisiting the audiobooks she remembered from childhood. Lococo had never read the series, she added, so she hoped he would join them.
