The race for the next Super Bowl halftime show may have two enormous pop names near the top, but neither one has the job yet.
Justin Bieber and Harry Styles are both high on Roc Nation’s shortlist for the 2027 Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show, according to TMZ. The report immediately puts two of pop’s biggest live acts into the conversation five months before Super Bowl LXI.
There is an important catch. TMZ’s sources said neither singer has actually been approached, and the same unnamed sources claimed both would currently be unlikely to accept if an offer arrived. Neither Styles nor Bieber has publicly confirmed that position.
Whoever gets the show will take over SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on February 14, 2027. It will be the second Super Bowl at the stadium in five years and the ninth staged in the greater Los Angeles area.
Neither Bieber Nor Styles Has Been Offered the Show
TMZ said only that both names are high on Roc Nation’s current list. Roc Nation has worked with the NFL on its major music programming since 2019. Under the partnership announced by the NFL, the company advises on the selection of artists for major league performances, including the Super Bowl.
That still leaves plenty of room for the lineup to change. The NFL, Apple Music and Roc Nation have not announced a Super Bowl LXI halftime performer. Bad Bunny was announced as the Super Bowl LX headliner in late September 2025, putting the Bieber-Styles report into the same part of the calendar when an official reveal could begin to draw closer.
Bieber Just Played Another Massive Halftime Show
On July 19, he co-headlined the first FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show alongside Madonna, Shakira and BTS at New York New Jersey Stadium. His appearance included a special version of “Everything Hallelujah,” and FIFA later singled out the performance while recapping the event.
The organization had announced Bieber as one of the show’s co-headliners before the final, giving him a recent test run on another enormous global sports stage. FIFA confirmed his role in July.
The Super Bowl would still be a different proposition. The World Cup performance divided the spotlight among several major headliners, while recent NFL halftime shows have typically centered on one lead artist or a deliberately assembled group.
Styles Already Has a Stadium Schedule for 2027

Styles has his own reason to be an obvious name for a stadium-sized show. His Together, Together era is already extending into 2027, with a new stadium leg beginning in April.
His official tour schedule currently lists two April shows in Phoenix, followed by stadium dates in Dallas, Los Angeles, Toronto, Atlanta and Chicago before the tour moves to Europe. The Los Angeles concerts are scheduled for April 23 and 24 at the Rose Bowl.
That schedule does not create an obvious conflict with Super Bowl Sunday. The game falls on February 14, more than six weeks before Styles’ first currently announced 2027 stadium date in Phoenix on April 2.
SoFi Has Already Hosted One of the Show’s Biggest Lineups
Super Bowl LXI brings the halftime show back to the same building that hosted the 2022 performance led by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige and Kendrick Lamar.
The NFL formally selected SoFi Stadium for the 2027 game after an ownership vote. Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league wanted to return after Los Angeles hosted Super Bowl LVI and described the region as an epicenter of sports, entertainment and culture.
The 2027 game will be the second Super Bowl played at SoFi Stadium and the ninth hosted in the greater Los Angeles region. It also lands 60 years after the first Super Bowl was played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in 1967.
