Hunter Schafer has given Tom Holland an affectionate place in the friendship she shares with Zendaya, a contact entry labeled “Sister Tom.”
The Euphoria star revealed the nickname while creating her personal Mount Rushmore of superheroes at Entertainment Weekly’s 2026 San Diego Comic-Con studio. Holland earned a place on the list for playing Spider-Man, but Schafer’s explanation focused just as much on their offscreen relationship.
“My dear sister Tom Holland, who is my other dear sister’s man,” Schafer said, referring to Zendaya. She praised Holland as an actor, said she loves him “very much” and confirmed that “Sister Tom” is the name attached to his number in her phone.
Schafer attended Comic-Con with Michelle Yeoh to promote Prime Video’s Blade Runner 2099. The superhero conversation also included the Powerpuff Girls, Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther and Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange.

“He’s a great actor and I love him very much, and he’s in my phone as ‘Sister Tom,’ so he’s going on my Mount Rushmore, for sure,” Schafer said.
Holland has played Peter Parker in three solo Spider-Man movies, with Zendaya appearing as Michelle “MJ” Jones. The actors met through the Marvel franchise and are returning for Spider-Man: Brand New Day.
Schafer and Zendaya have worked together since the first season of Euphoria, playing Jules Vaughn and Rue Bennett. Their friendship has continued away from the HBO series, with Schafer spending time publicly with both Zendaya and Holland over the years.
Schafer and Zendaya Call Each Other ‘Boob’
“Sister Tom” is not the only unexpected nickname in Schafer’s contacts. During a 2022 interview, she revealed that she and Zendaya call each other “boob” or “boobies.”
“It’s endearing, you know?” Schafer said at the time, according to People. She shared the nickname while discussing her close bond with Zendaya following their work on the second season of Euphoria.
The Powerpuff Girls Also Made Her List
Schafer’s other superhero choice was the Powerpuff Girls, the animated trio made up of Blossom, Bubbles and Buttercup. She said the Cartoon Network series had been an important part of her childhood and that she went through different periods of identifying with each character.
“Powerpuff Girls I grew up with,” she said. “I loved the cartoon. I think I’ve gone through different phases of identifying with each one, but deeply informative superhero experience as a child that I loved so much.”
Yeoh completed their shared Mount Rushmore by selecting Boseman and Cumberbatch. She remembered Boseman as “gone too soon” and praised the world of Wakanda, while describing Doctor Strange’s transformation following a devastating accident as inspiring.
Blade Runner 2099 Arrives in November
Schafer and Yeoh were at Comic-Con for Prime Video’s upcoming limited series, which takes place 50 years after Blade Runner 2049. Schafer plays Cora, a fugitive who assumes one final identity as a Blade Runner, while Yeoh portrays Olwen, a Replicant confronting the end of her life.
The two characters are forced to work together to hunt a runaway carrying information that could threaten their city. Prime Video will release all eight episodes of Blade Runner 2099 on November 25, 2026.
