Dan Reynolds spent Sunday evening at a Miley Cyrus concert with Chantel Jeffries, less than two weeks after news emerged that his relationship with Minka Kelly had ended.

The Imagine Dragons frontman, 39, and the DJ and model, 34, were photographed at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Oct. 18.

Neither Reynolds nor Jeffries has publicly explained their connection.

PEOPLE reported the split on Oct. 7, citing a source who said it had “happened recently.” Reynolds and Kelly had been together for nearly four years.

Reynolds and Jeffries Arrive Together and Share a Concert Box

Social media footage showed the pair arriving at the venue before sitting beside each other in a box. Clips from inside captured them talking and applauding Cyrus’ performance.

Reynolds wore a brown leather jacket over a white T-shirt with jeans. Jeffries also chose jeans, pairing hers with a beige quarter-zip sweater.

Us Weekly, which described their arrival and the audience footage, said it had contacted Reynolds’ representative and Jeffries for comment.

Reynolds and Kelly Got to Know Each Other Over the Phone

A mutual friend introduced Reynolds and Kelly in 2022 while she was working in Britain. They spent a month talking by phone before meeting in person, sharing work that offered an unusually personal introduction.

Reynolds sent Kelly music he was developing, and she shared drafts of her memoir, Tell Me Everything. Both were nervous about letting the other see unfinished material, he recalled in a 2024 interview. “I’ve never had that kind of introduction to someone,” he said.

The relationship also involved a gradual introduction to Reynolds’ children. He shares four children with his former wife, musician Aja Volkman, and has described taking care over when Kelly became part of their lives.

Their Red-Carpet Debut Came Months Before the Split

Reynolds and Kelly made their red-carpet debut as a couple at the Museum of Contemporary Art Gala in Los Angeles on May 30. Kelly wore an orange Roland Mouret dress, while Reynolds chose a beige suit with a black shirt.

She continued sharing glimpses of their relationship through the summer. In a July 14 birthday tribute, Kelly thanked Reynolds for making “ordinary days feel extraordinary” and celebrated his sense of humor and affection.

Later that month, she posted photographs from a Disneyland visit with Reynolds and his children, writing, “No place I’d rather be.” He also appeared in a playful skin-care video on her Instagram in August.

Their Relationship Extended to Kelly’s Work on ‘Ransom Canyon’

Reynolds helped Kelly prepare piano pieces for her role in Netflix’s Ransom Canyon. In a May 2025 interview, she explained that he demonstrated passages and hand positions, which she practiced until she could play them from memory.

He also made a cameo as cattle buyer Billy Brinks in the show’s first season. The opportunity followed a visit to the set, where the producers and writers asked whether he would be willing to take the part. Kelly said he agreed, although she was surprised to discover that performing the scene made him nervous.

By July 2026, Kelly had suggested bringing Billy back as a possible romantic interest for her character, Quinn. In an interview about the second season, she explained why the idea had not worked out: “Sadly, he was unavailable.”
