Jennifer Aniston and Jim Curtis are facing new engagement speculation after celebrating their first anniversary and becoming increasingly open about their relationship.
A new Daily Mail report claims that a proposal has been discussed as the couple considers its future. The story relies on unnamed sources and does not include confirmation from Aniston, Curtis or their representatives.
Aniston has not been photographed wearing an engagement ring, and Curtis has not publicly said that he plans to propose.
Curtis marked their first year together in May, while Aniston featured him throughout a July collection of photographs with members of her longtime social circle. She is also scheduled to interview him at a public event in New York on September 2.

The Daily Mail cited insiders who claimed that Curtis has been thinking about the next stage of the relationship and that an engagement would not surprise people around the couple.
Aniston was previously married to Brad Pitt from 2000 until their divorce in 2005. She married Justin Theroux in 2015, and they announced their separation in 2018.

Curtis shared a collection of photographs with Aniston on May 13, including a selfie showing her kissing him on the cheek. “Life lately. Grateful,” he wrote alongside the carousel.
A source told People that the couple had recently celebrated one year together and described the relationship as a “great partnership” that makes Aniston happy.
“Jim’s a special guy. Everyone loves his energy,” the source said. The insider added that Curtis has supported Aniston’s schedule while she films the fifth season of The Morning Show and that the couple continues making time for each other. The source said their friendship before the romance helped the relationship feel genuine from its beginning.

Aniston shared another look at their relationship on July 1 through a summer photo collection captioned, “Incoming summer dumper!”
The carousel included photographs of Curtis with Aniston and her dog Clyde. Other images featured Naomi Watts, Billy Crudup, Amanda Anka and Jason Bateman. Sandra Bullock responded in the comments, “Every view, perfection.”
Aniston and Curtis were first publicly linked in July 2025 after they were photographed during a Mallorca vacation with Bateman, Anka and Amy Schumer. They later attended the Elle Women in Hollywood celebration together in November, when Aniston was among the evening’s honorees.
They Were Friends Before the Relationship Became Romantic
Curtis discussed how the relationship began during a January appearance on Today. “We were just introduced by friends. That’s it,” he said. “We found out that we had mutual friends, and we started to just chat.”
Curtis said their conversations continued for an extended period before becoming romantic. “It took a long time,” he explained. “We chatted for a long time, and we became close.”
Aniston made the relationship Instagram official on Curtis’ birthday in November by sharing a black-and-white photograph of herself embracing him. “Happy birthday my love,” she wrote. “Cherished.”
In an interview published that month, Aniston described Curtis as “very special, very normal and very kind” and praised his work helping people address trauma and patterns that keep them from moving forward.

Aniston and Curtis are scheduled to appear together at 92NY in New York on September 2. Aniston will interview Curtis about his coaching work and his new book, The Book of Possibility.
The program will include an introduction from author Gabrielle Bernstein and music from East Forest before Curtis leads a guided visualization. The Book of Possibility is scheduled to be released by Simon & Schuster on September 1.
