Jessica Alba and her daughter Honor Warren coordinated twice in one day while attending the U.S. Open in New York.

The actress and her 18-year-old daughter attended the women’s singles final on September 12 in complementary shades of white and pale blue. Alba wore a strappy white sundress with a gray-blue sweater tied around her waist, while Honor chose a pale blue checkered halter maxi dress with a white sweater draped over her shoulders, according to InStyle.

Alba completed her daytime look with white pointed-toe shoes, tinted sunglasses, hoop earrings, layered necklaces and a black shoulder bag. Honor wore black flats and sunglasses with her blue-and-white dress.

Later that evening, both changed into black dresses for an outing in New York. Alba wore a black satin slip dress with lace detailing, while Honor chose a black halter minidress with a semi-sheer skirt, giving the mother and daughter a second coordinated look without repeating their daytime outfits.

Alba and Honor Started the Day in Tennis-Inspired Looks

Alba’s white dress featured thin straps, a fitted bodice and a full skirt, while the lightweight sweater at her waist added pale blue to the otherwise neutral outfit. Honor reversed the combination with a blue-and-white checkered dress and a white knit over her shoulders.

The pair posed together on the U.S. Open Blue Carpet before heading inside the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing. Their outfits followed the tournament’s familiar tennis-white aesthetic without matching piece for piece.

Alba’s sweater later became the focus of separate PEOPLE fashion coverage about lightweight layers for the transition from summer into fall. She kept the knit tied around her waist during the warmer part of the day rather than covering the sundress.

Alba and Honor watched the women’s championship match between Elena Rybakina and Aryna Sabalenka. Rybakina defeated the two-time defending champion 6-4, 5-7, 6-2 to win the U.S. Open title.

Alba and Honor changed out of their blue-and-white outfits before stepping out again in New York that evening. The second set of looks kept the coordination much simpler, with both choosing black dresses featuring lace or sheer details.

Alba wore a black satin slip dress with lace along the neckline and hem, pairing it with high platform shoes and a statement bag. Honor’s halter minidress featured a semi-sheer skirt and was styled with black boots and red lipstick.

Photos shared by Alba showed both the daytime and evening outfits from their day together in New York. The September outing was also not their first coordinated appearance at a major tennis tournament. Alba and Honor attended Wimbledon together earlier this summer in complementary floral dresses.
