Julia Garner and Mark Foster have reportedly gone their separate ways after more than six years of marriage.
People reported that a source confirmed the Ozark actress and the Foster the People frontman have separated.
Just Jared also picked up the split report, noting that the couple had been married since December 2019.
Neither Garner nor Foster has released a public statement about the separation.

Page Six reported that the couple last appeared publicly together in October 2025, but neither has confirmed whether that timing had any connection to the separation.
Garner and Foster first crossed paths at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013, but their relationship did not begin right away. Garner previously said they reconnected later through Instagram after she noticed Foster liking her photos.
The connection eventually turned romantic, and Foster proposed in 2019 during a trip to Montana. According to People, he asked her to marry him by reading a poem he had written for her.
Their relationship stayed relatively low-key even as Garner’s acting career expanded and Foster continued releasing music with Foster the People.
They Chose a Courthouse Wedding in New York
The couple married in December 2019 at New York City Hall. Garner later said the courthouse ceremony was inspired by her parents, who had also married there years earlier.
The celebration still had a personal musical touch. Foster wrote, produced and sang an original song called “Lovers in a Stream” for their first dance, which Garner later described as one of the most magical moments of her life.
Vogue reported that the wedding included a small City Hall ceremony, dinner at Locanda Verde and a party at the Public Hotel.
They Supported Each Other Through Big Career Moments
Foster was often by Garner’s side during major awards-season appearances and career milestones. Garner publicly thanked him in major acceptance speeches, including after wins connected to Ozark.
Foster, meanwhile, continued working with Foster the People. Entertainment Weekly reported that the musician is preparing for the band’s Good Mourning Sunshine tour, while Garner has several screen projects ahead.
Garner recently starred in Weapons and is attached to the Netflix series The Altruists. She also joined Marvel’s The Fantastic Four as Shalla-Bal, a version of the Silver Surfer.
