James Wilkie Broderick is getting more attention of his own as he was photographed after a gym session in New York City.

Just Jared reported that the 23-year-old son of Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick went for a post-workout walk on Wednesday, July 15.

The outlet said James was seen in gray camouflage-print shorts, a green backward baseball cap and an olive-green shirt over his shoulder.

The Outing Was a Casual New York Moment

The photos showed James cooling down after what the outlet described as an intense workout. He was also seen with an ice cream treat and a Diet Dr Pepper as he made his way home from the gym.

Unlike some Hollywood children who grow up constantly in the spotlight, James has mostly appeared publicly during family events or occasional acting-related moments.

James Has Been Taking Steps Toward Acting

Just Jared noted that James appeared in the 2024 Apple TV+ limited series Lady in the Lake. He also guest-starred with his father on CBS’ Elsbeth, giving viewers a rare chance to see the real-life father and son share the screen.

Deadline reported that the Elsbeth episode marked one of James’ first major acting roles. E! News also noted that the CBS appearance was the first time Matthew and James had worked together onscreen.

Parker and Broderick have generally kept their three children out of the spotlight. They share James and twin daughters Tabitha Hodge and Marion Loretta Elwell, who have only occasionally joined their parents at public events.

People reported that the family made a rare appearance together at a January book event in New York City.

InStyle reported that the family attended Marc Shaiman’s Never Mind the Happy book launch at Sardi’s, with James joining his parents and twin sisters for the event.
