Katie Holmes and boyfriend Jason Bard Yarmosky held hands as they posed on the red carpet at American Ballet Theatre’s fall gala in New York City on October 29.

Holmes, 47, wore a dark green gown, while Yarmosky, 39, chose a dark double-breasted suit over a black shirt. Their appearance followed a month of outings that included fashion events and a film screening.

The gala took place at the David H. Koch Theater at Lincoln Center and honored Cynthia Erivo. Its Halloween-inspired program brought together performers from across the ballet company’s repertoire.

Holmes and the New York-based artist first attracted romantic attention over the summer.

Holmes’ floor-length dress featured long sleeves and a dropped waist, as seen in photographs published by Us Weekly. Inside, Debbie Allen presented Erivo with her award. The evening’s theme, Angels and Demons, shaped a program curated by ABT artistic director Susan Jaffe, according to BroadwayWorld.

The performances included excerpts from Swan Lake, Coppélia and The Dream, alongside works such as Frederick Ashton’s Dance of the Blessed Spirits. Guests gathered for dinner and dancing after the performance. Proceeds supported American Ballet Theatre and its education and engagement programs.

Their Earlier Outings Included Film and Fashion Events

Holmes and Yarmosky were photographed arriving hand in hand at a July 10 screening of Olivia Wilde’s The Invite in East Hampton. An attendee told PEOPLE that the pair laughed together and sat beside each other during the movie.

Later that month, they attended a Ferragamo dinner at Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton. Asked about their coordinated clothing, Holmes told ELLE, “I think we just have similar taste.”

They attended an October 9 screening of 14th at the New York Film Festival. Five days later, both wore Falconeri pieces for the Italian brand’s New York event, as Wealth of Geeks reported.

Yarmosky’s own work focuses on aging, time and memory. His paintings and drawings have appeared in museums and galleries, and his grandparents served as subjects for more than a decade.
