Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau made their red-carpet debut as a couple at the Tribeca Festival on Monday night.

The singer and the former Canadian prime minister attended the June 8 premiere of Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris in New York City.

People reported that Perry, 41, and Trudeau, 54, posed together at the premiere, where he supported her as she introduced the concert film.

The appearance followed months of public sightings that began in Montreal last summer and later included concert appearances, travel, and family comments about their relationship.

Perry wore a white halter-neck gown with rose-like details and styled her hair in an updo, while Trudeau wore a black suit with a white shirt.

E! News reported that the two posed together and, at one point, leaned in, touched foreheads, and laughed on the carpet.

The outlet also reported that Trudeau stayed close while Perry greeted fans and signed autographs.

The Concert Film Brought Perry to Tribeca

Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live from Paris premiered at Tribeca as a full-length concert film from Perry’s The Lifetimes tour.

The festival listing says the film was shot in November 2025 and used 60 cameras to capture the Paris tour stop from across, around, and above the stage.

Perry told People the project is different from her 2012 documentary Katy Perry: Part of Me, describing the new film as a concert experience made for fans.

Their First Public Sightings Came in Montreal

Perry and Trudeau were first linked in July 2025, when they were seen walking a dog together in a Montreal park and later having dinner at Le Violon, according to People.

Trudeau was also seen at Perry’s Montreal concert on July 30, 2025.

The Tribeca premiere moved the relationship into a different kind of public setting: a major festival carpet tied to Perry’s own film.

Trudeau’s Son Has Also Spoken About Perry

People reported earlier this year that Trudeau’s son Xav, who makes music, said Perry has given him feedback on his songs.

During an April appearance on the Can’t Be Censored podcast, Xav said Perry is “always happy” to offer advice or suggest changes.

Perry shares daughter Daisy Dove with Orlando Bloom. Trudeau shares three children with ex-wife Sophie Grégoire Trudeau.
