Kendra Wilkinson shared an emotional account of the pressure surrounding her real estate career after a client decided to stop working with her.
The former Girls Next Door star posted a photograph of herself crying in her car on July 26. She said the loss was particularly difficult because of the work she had already invested in the client relationship.
Wilkinson did not identify the client or disclose why she had been dismissed. In a follow-up video, she described a series of professional problems that included conflict with colleagues, difficulty finding people willing to work with her and encounters with people she considered rude or unkind.
The setback followed a June post in which Wilkinson questioned whether she should remain in real estate. Earlier this year, however, she said her business had begun to flourish after she secured several multimillion-dollar listings in Malibu.
Wilkinson Shared the Setback From Her Car
“When a client fires you… after all the work you put in,” Wilkinson wrote over the tearful photograph. “Ya. I’m struggling today, guys.” She followed the image with a video acknowledging that many people were facing serious difficulties before describing the effect her own professional problems were having on her.
“I know that we’re living in a world of struggle right now. I know that,” she said, according to E! News. “But it’s hard right now.” Wilkinson said the strain extended beyond the loss of one client. She described “finding people to work with me, getting fired, people being rude and mean” and said the accumulation of those experiences was “taking a toll.”
She Connected the Pressure to Raising Her Children
Wilkinson said the setback felt especially painful because she believed she had been making responsible choices and prioritizing her family. “I feel like I’m doing everything right in my life,” she said. “I’m raising my kids. I’m putting them first.”
Wilkinson shares son Hank IV, 16, and daughter Alijah, 12, with former NFL player Hank Baskett. The former couple finalized their divorce in 2019.

Wilkinson expressed similar concerns in June, when she wrote that she was “so beyond heartbroken” by the direction of her real estate career. She said some people had used her public profile for attention and then discarded her without respecting her work as an agent.
Although she acknowledged needing more experience, Wilkinson argued that she had demonstrated her commitment through several years of deals and client relationships. “Will I quit because of people? Will I stay in this and rise up?” she wrote, according to People. “I don’t know and I’m scared.”
Wilkinson had previously announced that she was leaving real estate in May 2024, only to clarify several months later that she had reacted to a particularly difficult day and remained active in the business.
Her Malibu Listings Had Marked a Career High
She told Realtor.com that her career had “definitely blossomed” after she secured a portfolio of Malibu properties valued between approximately $6 million and $20 million.
The opportunity developed after a chance meeting with Vittal Apel, whose father, Amit Apel, designed and developed the properties. Wilkinson said Vittal contacted her approximately three years after their first conversation and asked her to represent the portfolio.
Wilkinson earned her California real estate license in June 2020. Her transition into the luxury Los Angeles market was documented across two seasons of Kendra Sells Hollywood, which premiered in 2021.
After sharing her tearful videos, Wilkinson returned with a more hopeful message for those who had contacted her. “Got to get back up, right?” she said. “It’s time to fight a new one and live and enjoy and be grateful for the things I do have.”
