Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet were not just watching from their seats when the New York Knicks reached the NBA Finals. They ended the night celebrating on the court.

The couple attended Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals at Rocket Arena in Cleveland on May 25, where the Knicks defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers 130-93 and completed a four-game sweep.

The win sent New York to the NBA Finals for the first time since 1999, and Chalamet, one of the team’s most visible celebrity fans this postseason, joined the postgame celebration with Jenner after the final buzzer.

According to People, Jenner and Chalamet hugged, cheered, and celebrated with Knicks players after the team secured its Finals spot.

Chalamet’s excitement was not subtle. People reported that he shouted, “We’re going to the finals!” while Jenner cheered beside him, and videos showed the couple jumping and hugging on the court.

The actor also shared the moment with Knicks players. People reported that Chalamet met Mikal Bridges, hugged Jalen Brunson, and celebrated near Jordan Clarkson during the trophy presentation.

The Knicks Clinched Their First Finals Trip Since 1999

The celebrity attention came during one of the biggest nights for New York basketball in decades. The NBA recap confirmed that the Knicks beat the Cavaliers 130-93 to complete the Eastern Conference Finals sweep, 4-0.

Karl-Anthony Towns finished with 19 points and 14 rebounds, while OG Anunoby scored 17 as New York controlled Game 4 in Cleveland.

The result turned the couple’s courtside appearance into more than another photographed date night. Jenner and Chalamet were in the building as the Knicks ended a 27-year wait for another NBA Finals appearance.

Before the postgame celebration, the couple’s outfits had already turned the appearance into a style moment. In a separate report, People said Jenner wore a blue Knicks shirt with a black Chanel bag.

Chalamet wore a leather Knicks jacket with the team’s logo, a gray top, a silver chain, baggy gray jeans, and Timberland boots.

The styling worked because it did not look disconnected from the game. Jenner leaned into Knicks blue, while Chalamet dressed like someone who had been waiting years to celebrate exactly this kind of night.

This Was Not Their First Knicks Date Night

The Cleveland game continued a run of basketball appearances for the couple. People noted that Jenner and Chalamet had also attended Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals between the Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers at Madison Square Garden.

That earlier appearance also had a coordinated-fashion angle, with both wearing denim and orange jackets in support of New York.

The repeated Knicks appearances have made basketball one of the couple’s most public shared settings. It gives them a built-in reason to be seen together without turning every outing into a red-carpet event.

Chalamet Kept Celebrating Online

Chalamet did not leave the excitement inside Rocket Arena. People reported that he shared a video on Instagram Stories of the Knicks gathered on the court as Brunson received the Larry Bird trophy.

Jenner also appeared to carry the celebration into the night. According to People, she later posted a blurry Instagram Stories photo of a New York City skyscraper lit in Knicks orange and blue, writing that she was somehow in New York after the Cleveland game.

Those posts fit the mood of the night: part sports celebration, part celebrity date, and part New York victory lap.

The Basketball Story Made the Celebrity Moment Bigger

Celebrity courtside appearances can feel staged when the game itself is secondary. This one had a real sports story behind it.

The Knicks were not just winning another playoff matchup. They were closing out a sweep, reaching the Finals for the first time since 1999, and giving their traveling fans a reason to celebrate inside an opposing arena.

That made Jenner and Chalamet’s reaction feel less like a photo op and more like two very famous people getting caught up in a loud, historic Knicks night.
