Miley Cyrus has announced her 10th studio album, Bass Persuades, only 17 days before its September 18 release.
The album will be Cyrus’s first release for Atlantic Records after her move from Columbia. In the announcement, she described music as “powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong” and said the title covers everything from a full heart to heartbreak, according to Variety.
Cyrus also announced two concerts at the Hollywood Bowl on October 16 and 18 with MODEL/ACTRIZ as special guest. They will be her first performances at the Los Angeles venue and her first major concerts since the Corona Capital festival in Mexico City in November 2022.
“It’s been a while,” Cyrus wrote. She called the Hollywood Bowl her favorite place to experience live music and added, “I’ve sat in those seats many times, but I’ve never taken the stage.”
‘Bass Persuades’ Has 10 Tracks and Two Featured Collaborations
The album opens with “Bass Persuades” and closes with “Bass Persuades Remixx.” MODEL/ACTRIZ appears on “Different Religion,” while Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow is featured on “Neon Signs.”
The remaining songs are “Let’s Get Married,” “Orbit,” “Aftermath,” “REDLIGHTS,” “Innocent Ways” and “Snow.”
Cyrus had already discussed the record before revealing its title. During a conversation with Daryl Hannah for Wonderland, she described it as a love story that includes romance but is not limited to it.
“A peaceful kind of love has become a theme across my last three records,” Cyrus said, explaining that the album also reflects changes in her relationship with herself.
Bass Persuades follows 2025’s Something Beautiful and begins Cyrus’s recording relationship with Atlantic Records.
Cyrus Will Play the Hollywood Bowl for the First Time in October

Cyrus will perform at the Hollywood Bowl on October 16 and 18 with MODEL/ACTRIZ appearing at both shows.
PEOPLE reports that the concerts will be Cyrus’s first major performances since Corona Capital in November 2022. She has appeared at special events and performances since then, but has not returned to a traditional large-scale concert schedule.
MODEL/ACTRIZ already has a connection to Cyrus’s recent music. Frontman Cole Haden co-wrote “Prelude,” the opening track on Something Beautiful, and the band now appears on “Different Religion.”
American Express card members get access to the first presale on September 8 at 10 a.m. PT. Cyrus’s artist presale begins September 9 at 10 a.m. PT, followed by the general sale September 10 at 10 a.m. PT.
The Album Campaign Is Using Simply ‘Miley’

Cyrus has also shortened the name appearing across the new campaign. Her website and social profiles have shifted toward “Miley,” and PEOPLE reports that Bass Persuades will be released using only her first name.
The promotional change began before the album announcement, including an Instagram image bearing only “MILEY.” The Hollywood Reporter also covered the shortened name as part of the album and Hollywood Bowl announcement.
Cyrus has not publicly explained whether she intends to stop using her surname permanently or whether the mononym applies specifically to this album cycle.
Mert Alas created the visual world for Bass Persuades, including its black-and-white imagery. Alastair McKimm, who worked on the Wonderland issue guest-edited by Cyrus, is also among her close creative collaborators on the project.
