Michael Dameski believes Lady Gaga will be a great mother.

The 30-year-old dancer appeared in her “Abracadabra” music video and performed on the Mayhem Ball tour. He spoke with PEOPLE at the Industry Dance Awards in Los Angeles on October 21, in an interview published October 24.

Gaga, 40, and fiancé Michael Polansky welcomed their first child, a daughter, on June 9, according to birth records reported by the outlet. The couple have not publicly confirmed their baby’s name or sex.

Dancers Against Cancer had named Dameski its Future Visionary Award honoree ahead of the ceremony at Avalon Hollywood. The organization provides financial assistance to dancers, educators and their families affected by cancer.

Dameski Praises Gaga’s Care for Her Dancers and Her Work Ethic

He recalled being treated “with so much care and love” on tour and on set, an experience that made him excited for her as she began raising her daughter.

Dameski also called Gaga “the hardest worker I think I’ve ever encountered in my life.” Watching her commitment up close, he said, had been inspiring.

The singer gave fans an idea of that workload at the tour’s final concert, at Madison Square Garden on April 13. She estimated that the team had performed or rehearsed the production at least 120 times, possibly closer to 150 when dress rehearsals and run-throughs were included, according to the outlet’s report from the show.

Gaga Stopped Her Sydney Show After Dameski Fell Off the Stage

On December 13, 2025, Gaga was performing “Garden of Eden” at Sydney’s Accor Stadium when Dameski slid off the end of the rain-soaked stage.

In its account of footage recorded by Daniel Ng, Storyful described Gaga interrupting the concert, checking whether Dameski was okay and hugging him. Ng said she then wanted to make sure the dancers had grips on the soles of their shoes before continuing.

“If you could just give us five minutes, I just wanna get some proper grooves on the shoes of the dancers,” Gaga told the audience, as TheWrap reported.

Dameski returned and finished the performance. He subsequently told followers through Instagram Stories that he was okay and thanked them for checking on him. He did not specifically cite the Sydney incident in his new interview about Gaga.

An Instagram Message Led to Dameski’s ‘Abracadabra’ Role

Dameski’s opportunity began when choreographer Parris Goebel posted the Coachella lineup on Instagram. Seeing Gaga’s name, he sent Goebel a message expressing how much he wanted to dance for her.

The two already knew each other from his time on So You Think You Can Dance Australia in 2014. Goebel responded enthusiastically, Dameski recalled in a May 2025 interview with Inside Dance, although he knew a conversation did not guarantee a booking.

When the call arrived, it was for the music video rather than the festival. He joined a smaller group that helped establish the choreography before Gaga began rehearsing with the full ensemble.

Goebel’s movement suited his childhood training, combining jazz technique with strength, sharp lines and power.

He also appreciated Gaga posting rehearsal footage on Instagram and identifying the dancers by name. Dameski explained that working with a major artist did not always bring that kind of public recognition for the performers supporting them.

Gaga Wanted Her Future Children to Form Their Own Opinions

In a January 2025 interview with ELLE, Gaga said she and Polansky wanted their future children to decide for themselves how they felt about her music and public image.

Looking ahead to her forties, she also wanted to spend more time supporting the people close to her, with music as one way of bringing them happiness.

She imagined a child asking about an unusual costume in an old video. Her possible response: “What do you think?”
