Lana Del Rey says Stove is no longer coming alone.
The singer shared a July 15 Instagram carousel with proposed album artwork, personal footage and a rare black-and-white video with her husband, Jeremy Dufrene. In the clip, the couple smiles toward the camera before turning toward each other and laughing.
People reported that Del Rey is preparing two new albums, Stove and a second project identified as Spyda. Pitchfork noted that Del Rey did not announce release dates for either record.
Del Rey said she needs about one more month to finish putting the second album together before sending both projects to vinyl. She described the records as two of the most beautiful pieces of work she has made.
Lana Del Rey Says Stove Now Has a Companion Album

Del Rey shared the update through a long Instagram caption rather than a standard label announcement. She wrote that years of waiting, changing plans and personal uncertainty had produced enough material for a second album alongside Stove.
“Stove is so lovely and intact as it was intended to be-a classic album if I may say, a lot of of which we’ve toured and you’ve heard – but not all of it,” she wrote, according to Pitchfork.
She said the companion record grew out of new thoughts about old friends, new dreams and the patience required while parts of her life and work changed.
The Second Album Appears to Be Called Spyda
People identified the second project as Spyda, while The FADER was more cautious, writing that the companion album “might be called Spyda.”
The uncertainty comes from the carousel artwork. The FADER reported that fans noticed the word “Spyda” in small script on the vehicle shown on the cover image for the second album, although Del Rey did not separately confirm the title in the caption.
Del Rey described the second record as a “beautiful, secondary album” and “a commentary of sorts” on what had been happening around her. She said the songs came from doubt, hopefulness and the need to begin again.
Jeremy Dufrene Appears in the Personal Album Post
The carousel mixed the music announcement with footage from Del Rey’s recent life, including Fourth of July moments and the black-and-white clip with Dufrene.
Del Rey and Dufrene married on Sept. 26, 2024, in Des Allemands, Louisiana. People confirmed at the time that they exchanged vows at the public bayou where Dufrene works as a captain at Airboat Tours by Arthur.
The couple had known each other since at least 2019, when Del Rey took one of his wildlife tours in Louisiana. Their relationship became public in 2024 before the September wedding.
Stove Has Faced Delays and Title Changes
Stove follows Del Rey’s 2023 album Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd. Pitchfork reported that the project was first announced in 2024 and has since gone through title changes and delays.
During the wait, Del Rey released songs including “Tough,” “Henry, Come On,” “Bluebird” and “White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter.” Pitchfork also noted that she previewed more new music during 2025 concerts.
The FADER described Stove as the project previously known as Lasso and then The Right Person Will Stay. Del Rey said listeners have already heard much of Stove on tour, though not all of it.
Del Rey Did Not Announce a Release Date
Del Rey did not give a firm release date for either album. Her only timing update was that she needs a month to finish assembling the second project before both records go to vinyl.
That does not mean the albums will arrive immediately after the month is over. Vinyl production can add more time, and Del Rey has not announced final track lists, singles or a rollout schedule.
For now, the confirmed update is that Stove remains in progress, a companion album has been added and both projects are being prepared together.
