Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are facing another round of speculation about their marriage, this time involving an alleged “secret divorce plan” connected to Harry’s renewed contact with King Charles.
An OK! Magazine report published August 3 attributed the “secret divorce plan” language to an unnamed royal source quoted in earlier coverage.
The same article also quoted a celebrity matchmaker and self-described psychic who claimed the couple remained “strong as an ox”.
Neither the Duke nor Duchess of Sussex has announced a separation or divorce.
The Divorce Claim Relies on an Unnamed Source

The source alleged that tension within the marriage had become “increasingly hard to ignore” because Harry wanted to spend more time in the United Kingdom. The report claimed Meghan was resistant to an arrangement that could require her husband to spend longer periods away from their family home in California.
The Royal Reunion Included Meghan and the Children
Vanity Fair reported that Buckingham Palace confirmed Charles met privately with Harry, Meghan, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet at Highgrove on July 10. Queen Camilla was also understood to have attended the gathering, which marked the King’s first opportunity to see his California-based grandchildren since 2022.
No photographs were released, and the palace declined to disclose what the family discussed or how long the meeting lasted. A source close to the Sussexes said Archie and Lilibet had been excited to see their grandfather, while sources close to Charles said he wanted the meeting kept private.
Harry and Meghan Still Share a Major Production Project
Harry and Meghan also remain publicly connected through Archewell Productions. Both are executive producers of Cookie Queens, director Alysa Nahmias’ documentary following four Girl Scouts through the pressures, ambitions and competition surrounding cookie-selling season.
The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January and is scheduled to open in theaters on August 7 as Archewell Productions’ first theatrical release. In an August 4 interview with People, Meghan repeatedly discussed the project as something she and Harry experienced together.
She said an early teaser made both of them laugh and become emotional as parents, convincing them that they wanted to help support the film. Meghan also recently shared advice Harry had given her about enduring difficult periods, telling an audience that he reminded her the sun remains visible above a storm.
Separate Professional Schedules Are Not Proof of a Split
Harry and Meghan have increasingly pursued individual professional commitments, with Harry continuing work connected to the Invictus Games and Meghan focusing on media projects and her lifestyle business. That division of work has repeatedly prompted claims that they are leading separate lives.
Harry and Meghan married at St. George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle in May 2018 and moved to California after stepping back as senior working royals in 2020. They have faced recurring breakup reports throughout their years in the United States, often based on anonymous sources interpreting periods when one spouse appeared publicly without the other.
