Neymar is getting another daughter, and he already has a joke ready for the family lineup.
The Brazilian soccer star and Bruna Biancardi revealed on Monday, June 15, that they are expecting another baby girl. The announcement came in a family gender reveal video shared on social media.
Goal reported that the baby will be Neymar and Biancardi’s third child together and Neymar’s fifth child overall.
The announcement landed during a busy World Cup stretch for Neymar, who remains with Brazil while recovering from a calf injury. His off-field news quickly took over after the pink reveal and his joke about starting a girl group.

Neymar and Biancardi appeared in the reveal video with their daughters Mavie and Mel, along with Neymar’s eldest son, Davi Lucca, according to Goal.
Brazilian outlet Gshow reported that the family wore white and used paint during the reveal, with the color turning pink at the end.
After learning another girl was on the way, Neymar joked about the number of daughters in his family. “I’m going to put together a band and, from today, it’s going to be Spice Girls,” he said, according to Goal.
Gshow’s version of the quote also had Neymar joking that the group could be “K-Pop” before turning back to Biancardi and calling the baby “another little girl.”
The Baby Will Be Neymar and Bruna’s Third Child Together
Neymar and Biancardi already share two daughters. Gshow reported that Mavie turns 3 in October and Mel turns 1 in July.
The new baby will be Neymar’s fifth child overall. Goal listed his children as Davi Lucca, Helena, Mavie, Mel and the daughter now expected with Biancardi.
Gshow reported that Davi Lucca, Neymar’s son from his previous relationship with Carol Dantas, appeared in the gender reveal video. The outlet also noted that Helena, Neymar’s daughter with Amanda Kimberlly, did not appear in the clip.
The News Arrived During Neymar’s World Cup Injury Wait
Neymar’s personal news arrived while his playing status remained uncertain.
Goal reported that the Brazil forward missed the team’s opening 1-1 draw against Morocco while recovering from a grade two calf injury sustained with Santos. The outlet said Brazil’s medical staff was taking a cautious approach because of his history of muscular and ankle problems.
The Associated Press reported that Neymar underwent new tests on his injured right calf on Monday and had not yet joined a full Brazil training session since the team began World Cup preparations in New Jersey.
Brazil are preparing to face Haiti on Friday in Philadelphia. Goal reported that Neymar is still likely to be sidelined as the team manages his recovery.
