Much of the reaction focused on how tall George looked beside his mother. People reported that the prince appeared almost as tall as Kate during the rare joint outing.

Page Six also framed the appearance around George nearly towering over Kate as they stepped out together.

George will turn 13 on July 22.

The RAF Visit Matched George’s Aviation Interest

The RAF setting also fit George’s interest in planes and flying. The Times reported that George explored a Spitfire cockpit during the visit.

The royal family also has a long aviation connection. Prince William previously served as an RAF search and rescue pilot and later worked as an air ambulance pilot.

The Times reported that Kate’s grandfather served as a Second World War fighter pilot. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight preserves and flies historic aircraft connected to Britain’s wartime aviation history.

The Outing Comes Before George Starts at Eton

The RAF visit came less than two weeks after Kensington Palace confirmed George’s next school.

Sky News reported that George will attend Eton College from September. Prince William also attended Eton and graduated in 2000.

George currently attends Lambrook School with Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. His latest public appearance placed him beside Kate for a short official visit tied to Armed Forces Day, military service, and aviation history.
