Ric Flair has shared a new photograph after a fall sent him to the hospital in Tampa, Florida. The 77-year-old posted the image on Saturday, October 24, showing a medical dressing taped over his right eye.
The wrestling legend was injured the previous day outside a Wagamama restaurant. Emergency responders attended to him before he was taken away in an ambulance, according to TMZ.
The outlet reported cuts to his head and around his eye, along with substantial bleeding. It also raised the possibility of a concussion, but no confirmed diagnosis was disclosed.
Flair’s own update did not identify what caused the fall or provide a timetable for his recovery.

Flair thanked the doctors and staff at Tampa General Hospital, saying they had cared for him until 4:30 a.m., according to Just Jared.
He also acknowledged the messages and prayers from followers, promising to reply individually as he regained his strength.
“I Am Focused On My Healing And Recovery Right Now. I Will Be Okay!” he wrote.
His post did not specify where the picture had been taken or announce that he had been discharged.
His Update Also Included an Apology for Facebook Posts
Flair also replied to followers who had been asking about his Facebook page.
“I Don’t Own My Own Facebook Page Anymore,” he wrote, before apologizing for what he described as “reckless posting behavior.”
POST Wrestling reported that the disputed material had appeared while he was hospitalized. Flair called it inappropriate but did not identify the posts, explain the page’s ownership arrangement or name the person responsible for publishing them.
Charlotte Shared a Wrestling Joke From Her Father’s Hospital Visit
TMZ’s sources said Flair had been sitting at the restaurant’s bar before getting up and walking across the street, leaving his phone and drink behind. He then fell and struck his face.
His daughter Charlotte Flair, who is also a WWE star, shared an anecdote from his medical care later that day. She said her father had told a doctor he fell because the Ultimate Warrior had dropped him on his head.
Charlotte’s post on X ended with a brief reassurance: “he’s going to be ok.”
The reference was to an incident from Flair’s wrestling career.
A Blood Clot Had Already Restricted His Travel
Hours before the fall, Flair had announced that a blood clot in his leg would prevent him from attending Washington State Horror Con. He said his doctors had limited journeys to three or four hours.
Although Flair addressed fans in Seattle, the convention was scheduled for October 23 through 25 at the Washington State Fair and Events Center in Puyallup, according to the organizer’s website.
He apologized to his agent, Steve Solomon, the organizers and fans, explaining that he needed to follow medical advice despite his disappointment about missing the appearance.
The condition had affected his schedule before. Wrestling Observer reported that the clot had also caused him to miss the Cauliflower Alley Club’s annual reunion over the summer.
No medical statement has established that the clot contributed to Friday’s fall. Before the accident, Flair said he was scheduled for a procedure involving the affected vein. He said his doctors expected it would allow him to be cleared for more travel afterward.
