Rihanna has brought her three children back to the Barbados neighborhood where her own story began. The singer shared a rare series of photos and video featuring sons RZA and Riot and daughter Rocki Irish during a visit to her childhood home.
The 38-year-old reflected on the contrast between remembering herself as a child in Westbury and returning decades later as a mother of three. As Entertainment Weekly reported, she described the experience as “trippy” and credited the “Almighty Creator” while looking back on how dramatically her life has changed.
Rihanna and A$AP Rocky’s children are 4-year-old RZA, 3-year-old Riot and 10-month-old Rocki Irish. Rocki was born on September 13th, 2025, while Riot celebrated his third birthday on August 1st.
Rihanna grew up on Westbury New Road in St. Michael before becoming an international recording star, entrepreneur and National Hero of Barbados. The road was officially renamed Rihanna Drive in her honor in 2017.

PEOPLE reported that the post includes video of Rihanna reaching for Riot’s hand while holding Rocki on her knee and wrapping an arm around RZA as the family tries to pose together. The candid footage captures some of the difficulty of getting three young children to cooperate for a family picture.
“One minute I feel like that kid from Westbury…the next minute I’m bringing my own kids back to ‘Rihanna Drive,'” she wrote. “Trippy how life works!” She followed the reflection by expressing gratitude to the “Almighty Creator” for guiding her journey.
Westbury New Road Became Rihanna Drive in 2017
The Barbados government officially renamed Westbury New Road in St. Michael on Independence Day, November 30th, 2017, with Rihanna attending the ceremony. The official Barbados tourism site now describes Rihanna Drive as a cultural landmark on the outskirts of Bridgetown and identifies the neighborhood as the place where her journey began.
Her childhood home remains one of the street’s most recognizable features. Barbados Tourism describes the property as a green-and-yellow house accented with red trim and notes how the once-ordinary residential road has become closely associated with the Barbadian superstar.
Rihanna’s connection to her home country has since received an even greater official distinction. Barbados named her a National Hero in November 2021, giving her the formal title The Right Excellent Robyn Rihanna Fenty.
The Visit Came During a Family Summer in Barbados
The Rihanna Drive visit was part of a family-filled stretch for Rihanna in Barbados. She and Rocky celebrated Riot’s third birthday on August 1st with an elaborate Spider-Man-themed party, complete with themed decorations and a customized cake bar.
Two days later, Rihanna took part in the Grand Kadooment Day parade on August 3rd as Barbados’ annual Crop Over festival reached its finale. She joined the celebration in a jewel-covered Carnival costume with a dramatic multicolored feathered headpiece and bustle designed by Barbadian designer Lauren Austin.
