Simon Cowell is smiling beside fiancée Lauren Silverman in new family beach photographs shared after his latest back surgery. Silverman posted the collection on Instagram on November 1, as PEOPLE reported.
The 67-year-old television judge appears alongside their blended family. The couple share 12-year-old Eric, while Silverman has an older son, Adam, 20, from her previous marriage.
Cowell and Silverman became engaged during a family holiday in Barbados in December 2021. She now posts on Instagram under the name Lauren Cowell.
Her caption identified the trip as an October half-term holiday. “All I can really say is that my heart is full,” she wrote.

Silverman wraps her arms around Cowell in one selfie. Another photograph shows him standing on the sand with a tennis racket and one of the family’s dogs nearby, according to Talent Recap.
Eric and Adam pose beside their mother in another image, while a separate shot captures them heading toward the water with surfboards. Silverman described enjoying the sea, sunshine and time outdoors without anywhere else she needed to be.
Guest Judges Filled Cowell’s Seat Through the AGT Finale
Cowell’s absence from America’s Got Talent was announced in late August, when his representative told Entertainment Weekly that the upcoming procedure was routine and he was expected back within a few weeks. He had previously undergone six hours of surgery after breaking his back in an electric-bike accident at his Malibu home in August 2020, as Sky News reported at the time.
During a September 15 interview with Us Weekly, host Terry Crews said he hoped Cowell could return before the season ended, but stressed that his health came first. “But the biggest thing is, I want him to get better. I want him to get well,” he said.
Cowell did not return for the September 22 and 23 finale. Kenan Thompson, Heidi Klum and KSI had taken turns filling his chair during the live shows. Crews read a message from him during the first night of the finale, documented by TV Insider: “I am so sad I won’t be there in person, but I will be watching from home.”
His time away also extended to the October auditions for Britain’s Got Talent. Bradley Walsh joined Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and KSI as a guest judge in Blackpool, according to Heart. Further audition filming is scheduled for January 2027, although Cowell’s return remains dependent on his recovery.

In a September 11 carousel, Silverman shared photographs of Eric interacting with a horse and of herself with both sons on the beach. She also showed her home office, where family pictures appeared on her laptop and beside it, including a photograph of herself, Cowell and Eric together.
Her accompanying message described September as a time to establish new routines and reconsider what comes next. She wrote about continuing some projects, beginning others and seeing ideas start to become real.
Cowell has previously spoken about how becoming a father changed his own priorities. During a 2021 appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, he recalled feeling an immediate attachment when he first saw Eric’s ultrasound. “Now, I cannot imagine my life without him,” he said.
