Suri Noelle is reportedly continuing her acting studies at Carnegie Mellon University with a role in Midsummer!, a modern adaptation of William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Page Six reports that the 20-year-old daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise will perform in the production after completing her second year at Carnegie Mellon, where she is studying musical theater.
The 90-minute production will preview in Pittsburgh on July 31 and Aug. 1 before transferring to Scotland for 13 performances at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
Carnegie Mellon Lists Nine Actors in the Production

Carnegie Mellon’s official listing describes Midsummer! as a fast, contemporary production featuring 26 Shakespearean characters performed by nine actors.
The university currently names Celia Evans, Christian Trimmingham, Eli Strain, Jakai-Nyasia Norfleet, Logan Yao, Moyo Ifafore, Rusty Daniel, Siahvash Marshall and Von Markarian as the performers. It says a broader group of 19 students is working across the cast and creative team.
The adaptation uses a modern verse translation by Tony Award winner Jeffrey Whitty, whose credits include Avenue Q, Bring It On and the screenplay for Can You Ever Forgive Me? Drama Desk nominee and Carnegie Mellon directing chair Kim Weild is directing.
The show is being developed through the university’s Center for New Work in partnership with Play On Shakespeare. Carnegie Mellon describes it as a production filled with “magic, mischief and queer transformative joy.”
The Show Will Preview in Pittsburgh Before Edinburgh
The first two performances are scheduled for July 31 and Aug. 1 at the Peirce Studio inside Pittsburgh’s Trust Arts Education Center. Both shows begin at 7 p.m.
The production then travels to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, where it will play the Bijou at the Assembly Rooms from Aug. 6 through Aug. 19. The Assembly Festival listing schedules the 90-minute performances for 12:30 p.m. and recommends the show for audiences age 8 and older.
The international engagement concludes the inaugural season of Carnegie Mellon’s Center for New Work. The university said students will perform, design and stage-manage the production during Carnegie Mellon’s 125th anniversary year.
Noelle Has Already Appeared in Pittsburgh Productions

Noelle played Angel in a March 23 staged reading of Julia Fraser’s Cosmic Microwave Background at Pittsburgh’s New Hazlett Theater. The theater’s promotional post publicly listed her among the cast.
She also appeared in Carnegie Mellon’s May presentation of the musical Atlantic. The university’s official event page included Suri Noelle among the 12 performers in that reading.
Noelle began using her mother’s middle name in theatrical and school credits before graduating from New York’s LaGuardia High School in 2024. At LaGuardia, she appeared in student productions including The Addams Family and Head Over Heels.
